The successful candidate will: Provide same-day procedures, infusion/laser referrals. Document all care provided in the patients' medical records. Develop further, maintain/manage patients care panel with participation in managed care programs and other direct patient care programs as applicable. On a daily basis, review all laboratory and radiology reports to identify abnormal results for urgent follow-up. Ensure that patients are contacted to arrange additional care and that their primary providers are notified. Participate and provide departmental and Family Medicine educational activities to medical students, allied health professional students. Participate in hospital and departmental health fairs, community health education events and speak to community groups, when requested.     Clinical Practitioner/Educator of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Program Time Type: Part time and Qualifications: Adjunct, Nurse Practitioner Faculty provide didactic/ clinical/laboratory instruction for students including the coordination, preparation and presentation of course materials and the evaluation of student progress. Integral aspects of the position include implementation of the University's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to the University. Assist with the Full Time/ Part Time didactic faculty and Track Coordinators in the clinical education process for Saint Joseph's University's Nurse Practitioner students. The faculty/ student ratio is 6 to 1. Your responsibilities for each semester are as follows: On-Campus Intensive (if applicable): Assist with the On-Campus Intensive (OCI) requirements associated with the clinical courses. The number of hours you will participate in vary by track, but on average will be 8-16 hours per semester. Participate in selected didactic material, with Course Faculty/Track Coordinator, that might be taught during the On-Campus Intensive. Provide one-on-one feedback and complete evaluations, of student simulations, in the Typhon tracking system. Please discuss specific dates and times of each track's OCI with the respective Track Coordinator. Communication: Initiate communication with your clinical students one to two weeks prior to the start of the clinical semester. Initiate contact with each preceptor and be certain they have your up-to-date contact information. Contact each preceptor every two to three weeks during the semester with more frequent contact if a student is experiencing challenges in meeting clinical expectations.
