This position is for regular full-time gardener/landscaper who is responsible for assisting with the care and maintenance of the plants, shrubs and trees on Moody Gardens grounds. The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below. POSITION GUIDELINES: Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgement and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of the job duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists the Grounds Manager with the care and maintenance of all plants, shrubs, flowers and trees on Moody Gardens grounds. These duties include, but are not limited to, planting, watering, fertilizing, weeding, trimming and pruning. Daily observation of litter in parking lots and other public areas and their removal. At times, may be responsible for verifying casino guests are of legal age before entering any gaming areas. Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds at a time.
