Gaming Laboratories International company history timeline

1989

On June 23, 1989, James Maida joined forces with Paul Magno to create Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) with world headquarters located in Toms River, New Jersey.

1997

The “Qualified Entity” authorization expands GLI’s activities in Peru, where it has been testing devices since 1997, and further proved GLI’s commitment to the gaming industry throughout Latin America.

2017

GLI’s test labs located in Europe and Spain became the first to achieve accreditation of the 2017 version the ISO 17025 2017 standard from the Dutch Accreditation Council.

2019

Christie Eickelman, GLI’s Vice President of Global Marketing, received OIGA’s 2019 “Modern Day Warrior Award” for her support of Oklahoma’s Indian Gaming industry.

Karen Sierra-Hughes, GLI’s Director of Latin America and Caribbean Government Relations and Business Development was presented with a Recognition Award at the Latin American Gaming Hall of Fame during the 2019 Juegos Miami gaming conference.

2020

Global Gaming Business Magazine has named GLI’s Senior Director of Engineering, Mackenzie Haugh, as one of its “25 People to Watch for 2020.”

2021

June 2021 SAGSE names Christie Eickelman Top 5 land-based leader
