The Custodian position ensures that the facility is clean, safe and assignments are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner; provides production run clean-up of the facility on a daily basis to ensure that the work area remains free of paper, cardboard, dust, ink and oil and provides general cleaning of the building. Key Responsibilities: General Tasks Work with established cleaning procedures to maintain a clean working environment in the production facility. Clean all building areas, bathrooms, break rooms, cafeteria, lobby, offices, and printing press. Inspect and operate equipment needed to clean the press, press room and the building. Notify Manager if supply inventory requires replenishment. Prepare bales of newsprint and cardboard as part of the company's recycling program; weigh those bales and load onto the recycling trailer. Safety Comply with all standing safety policies and procedures. Always maintain and promote top-of-mind safety awareness and practice safety. Always work in a safe manner, and consistently utilize required safety equipment including PPE. Complete required annual OSHA and other safety training programs on-schedule and as assigned. Ensure all machine safety-guards are installed, functioning properly, and in use. Maintain a safe work environment by adequate organization and housekeeping of work areas. Identify safety hazards and help get them resolved. Report all operational concerns and/or potential safety hazards to the Building Maintenance Manager. Immediately report all injuries and/or near misses to the Building Maintenance Manager. Comply with implemented JSA's (Job Safety Analysis) Communication Provide timely reporting and feedback to management. Must be able to communicate and cooperate with all production departments/staff and co-workers to accomplish tasks during production hours. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Additionally, this reporter will be responsible for carving out coverage and zeroing in on Delaware's unique Chancery Court, where big business decisions happen every day and some of the nation's movers and shakers must frequent due to the state's rosy complexion for corporations.
