ADDITIONAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and promote collective leadership presence within the Rocky Hill, CT and Waltham, MA offices, reporting “in-person” to the physical office approximately three (3) days per week.
This local leadership position provides oversight and direction for all our local IDA resources, as well as evolving market sectors; and encompasses establishing and implementing goals and objectives, developing and promoting IDA's values and strategic plans, and positioning for growth.
Serve as the main point of contact for IDA within the CT and MA offices.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience with local New England transit and aviation (transportation) clients including MBTA, Connecticut DOT, MassDOT, MassPort, and RIDOT.
Experience with Massachusetts DCAM, and familiarity with MGL Chapter 149 and 149A legislature highly preferred.
BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; or MS/MA Architecture. with active licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) in the States of Massachusetts and Connecticut. NCARB Certification is required, given potential projects geography.
American Institute of Architects (AIA) membership is highly preferred, with active participation with the organization highly preferred.

Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.

Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.

Kleinfelder is seeking a talented Senior Bridge Structural Engineer to work on challenging and exciting transportation projects in the New England Region.

The successful candidate will perform engineering tasks in the transportation and structural engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes.
Flexible work arrangements may be discussed at the interview stage.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a design lead and technical advisor for staff engineers and CAD operators
Manage tasks and/or projects as assigned
Assist with the pursuit of new projects
Produce technical reports as needed
Prepare cost proposals for projects
Develop project deliverables including design computations, contract drawings, specifications, and estimates
Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meeting
Qualifications:
BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program (MSCE preferred)
A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the structural engineering field
Licensed Professional Engineer (MA, CT, NH PE license a plus)
Familiarity with AASHTO, MassDOT,NHDOT and/or CTDOT standards
Experience performing design and analysis of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures
Familiarity with general purpose structural analysis software design software (3D finite element analysis experience strongly preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (MicroStation experience a plus)
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
