Role accountabilities:

Arcadis is currently seeking a detail oriented, well organized and dependable Industrial Hygiene Specialist / Asbestos Inspector to join our Chicago, IL office full-time to perform asbestos-related field work, including inspections and abatement monitoring, oversight and air sampling. Additional tasks will also include indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, mold investigations and remediation oversight as well as industrial hygiene sampling, lead paint inspections and abatement oversight.

We are a team of water resource, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineers that deliver water resource engineering projects focused on hydraulic and hydrologic systems, stormwater management and treatment, navigation, flood risk reduction, riverine restoration, and site improvement projects, for clients nationally and globally. Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer at one of our office locations in either Minneapolis, MN (preferable), ChicagoIL, or Muscatine, IA. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of engineers in the technical analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of existing and proposed river and site, design, preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates for water resources, Federal, environmental, structural, and energy projects. Project development including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, 1-D and 2-D river and flood modeling, ponding and detention area sizing and design, streambank stabilization, civil design layout, , grading and drainage, utility layout and design, and low impact development feature layout and design. Our ideal candidate would also be comfortable with leading and mentoring a team of younger engineers and technical staff. What You Will Be Doing:
Lead the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks, including set up of models, guiding the team during a modeling effort, and review of modeling work prepared by others on the team.
Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications.
Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff.
Participation in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant experience.
Licensed Professional (PE) Engineer.
Varied software experience including 1-D and 2-D hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, 1-D and 2-D HEC RAS, PCSWMM, HydroCAD or other modeling software.
Wide knowledge of water resources engineering analysis and desgin, with the ability to lead project development and determination of solutions to meet client needs.

Open to active participation in professional organizations.

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with a background in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering to support an expanding portfolio of projects. Role accountabilities:
As a key member of our team, you will take on the role of supporting design in the office and field implementation of instrumentation and control systems, focusing on projects related to environmental remediation and industrial water/wastewater treatment. Your duties will encompass not only the hands-on implementation and functional testing, but also the crucial oversight and coordination of electrical, instrumentation and controls subcontractors and integrators.
Your core responsibilities will include.
Programming of various platforms of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs); Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Automation Direct, etc.
Programming of various platforms of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software; Wonderware, Rockwell Automation, etc.
Technical and troubleshooting support of instrumentation and controls systems
Support in the preparation of detailed engineering design drawings and calculations for instrumentation and control components of treatment systems
Support in the specification and procurement of instrumentation and controls components of treatment systems
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated, detail oriented, exhibit excellent organization, time management, and diagnostic skills, and be able to work successfully in a team setting as well as independently. This position encompasses both office work as well as field work in all weather conditions. This position does require travel. Travel amount is up to 50%.
In summary, the ideal candidate should possess a well-rounded skill set, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for effective communication and documentation, experience with PLC and SCADA programming of control systems, hands-on experience in environmental monitoring and remediation to support sustainability initiatives, and proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for precise design and drafting. A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
