Job Overview :
The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. Responsibilities :
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. All service technicians will assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Operates various conventional and/or numerically controlled machining centers on semi-complex jobs. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sets up and runs multiple production machines. Performs machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts. Performs machine operations where the materials, tooling, and sequence of operations have been pre-planned and established. Makes necessary machine adjustments and reports improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction.
2. Aligns and fastens work using standard fixtures and established methods.

4. Follows established manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
5. Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts, per documentation.

**Work Arrangement:**
Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Pasadena, CA on a full-time basis.
**The Role:**
As an intern in Fabrication Design, you will have the chance to develop your vehicle or product design skills. You will work with engineering practices and contribute to the building of running and nonrunning models. Your role will involve supporting fabrication engineering for both interior and exterior models.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
During your internship, you will learn various design fabrication techniques, including:
+ Digital surfacing for proof of concept and proof of concept (POC) models.
+ Developing b-side and building surface data for show vehicle fabrication.
+ Building sections based on collected information.
+ Assisting studio personnel in solving engineering and design problems.
+ Creating and maintaining assemblies for diverse projects.
+ Performing basic assessment of surface quality.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design
+ Must be graduating Dec 2026 - May 2028
+ Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
**What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):**
+ Knowledge of digital software such as Alias Design or other CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Analytical skills to solve complex problems.
+ Familiarity with fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
+ Previous experience in fabrication is preferred.

Intern: Start Dates for this internship role are May & June of 2026.
**Compensation: **
+ The monthly salary for this role is $5,700.
+ GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
