How you'll contribute
A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs. May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual
Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork
Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals. Recommends change to physician, if needed
Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient and performs reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timely QI scoring. The population is adult and geriatric patients requiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services
Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate interventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention
Formulates and updates patient specific plan of care for physical therapy

You need the ability to care for them properly - that's one of the most important Vet Assistant job requirements. This includes knowledge of routine tasks, like feeding or bathing animals, but also readiness to care for injured or scared animals that might occasionally lash out. If you're organized, quick on your feet and have the stomach to help with medical operations and euthanasia, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Feed, groom and weigh animals
Clean cages and bathe animals
Sterilize equipment and clean examination tables and rooms
Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
Soothe upset or frightened animals
Administer medication prescribed by Veterinarians (e.g. by mixing it with food)
Observe animal behavior or health condition and report to the Vet
Help in cases of emergencies
Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments or calling patients in the examination room by priority
Keep accurate records and logs
Reassure clients that their pets are being cared for and explain issues (e.g. lack of appointments, insurance matters)
Advise pet owners on nutrition and healthcare
Skills
Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals
Experience in an administrative role is a plus
Current or former pet ownership is an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Patient and caring personality
Ability to follow instructions properly
Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles etc.)
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
High school diploma; a certificate from a Veterinary Assistant program is a plus

About the Role:
Ernesta is looking for an experienced part-time Sales and Design Consultant (who we call a Design Assistant) to join the Retail team in our retail showroom located in Dallas,TX. You will be a key hire to help build an enjoyable, frictionless, and industry-defining rug buying experience. This is an opportunity to join a small but visionary team - a high impact role pioneering a new age of customer experience. As a Design Assistant you will wear two hats. First, you will educate and advise customers on rug selection, material selection, and spatial planning. Second, you will be a customer champion - delighting customers and assisting with inquiries, concerns, and matters related to orders, delivery, and more. In each interaction, you will take pride in building strong relationships with customers and ensuring their happiness and loyalty at every touchpoint.
What You'll Do:
Set the industry standard for customer experience and sales
Drive sales through customer followup and outreach
Deliver exceptional design and product expertise to customers
Maintain a clean, organized, and on-brand showroom that delights customers at every touchpoint
Provide customers a high quality and personalized experience through multiple channels - in person, chat, text, email, video, phone.

Solutions oriented with sound judgment, business sense, and high integrity. Willingness to provide creative solutions and wear many hats.
High level of proficiency working online across multiple software tools, 2D/3D tools, Zoom, Google suit, etc.
