Whether joining us as a service & repair engineer or as an installation engineer, contractors can work their own business around us giving flexibility to satisfy your own customer demand while keeping a steady flow of constant work and consistent payment over a period of 3 - 5 days over a 7-day week. To join us a contractor you will need to have an LTD company in place however we can advise and assist sole traders who would be willing to convert their company to a LTD company. All your company documents will need to be up to date which include but not limited to, gas safe registration, public liability insurance, business van insurance, upper tier waste carriers licence.

The candidate will have the ability to perform detailed mechanical design work related a broad range of turbine engine hardware and be willing to mentor junior level design engineers in the related engineering sciences pertaining to modern turbine engine hardware. Other gas turbine hot section component design fundamentals are beneficial and secondary to the primary role including stationary nozzle and turbine blade design, heat transfer/turbine durability methods and secondary flow system analysis fundamentals. All are considered highly beneficial for the role. The selected candidate will play an integral role in ensuring that new and enhanced components/systems fulfill performance, manufacturing, durability, maintainability, and cost targets. The primary function of this role is therefore to perform detailed mechanical design work to develop concepts and solutions, perform mechanical analysis in support of the concepts/detail designs and work within the extended team as necessary to report on work. A strong background in mechanical analysis related to structural vibrations of rotating and static turbine hardware is beneficial. The ideal candidate will thus have the skills necessary to successfully lead progress from concept to validation and have the ability to execute on and support the following engineering activities: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), modal analysis, model and drawing creation, engineering specification development, component durability assessments, engine test data analysis including understanding state of the art mechanical vibration data and appropriate data reduction & interpretation methods. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

**Job Purpose**

**Qualifications**
