You will be responsible for the performance, operations, and maintenance of the combustion turbine technologies and electric generating assets at a powerplant facility located in Birmingham, AL. The Combustion Tech is responsible for the effective, efficient, compliant, and safe operation of the power plant and its auxiliary systems and equipment.
The candidate is responsible for operating and monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis to ensure that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with all applicable permits, codes, and regulations.
Plant operations include but are not limited to plant start-up and shutdown and routine maintenance and repair of gas turbine/generation, ancillary equipment, and all instruments, control systems, and electronic instrumentation. You are responsible for all plant operations activities during assigned shift, performing routine inspections, monitoring and logging of operating components to provide accurate and reliable operation and reporting of plant status.
