The ideal candidate will be flexible in other areas of the plant when there is downtime in extrusion and be able to work independently to ensure that production targets are met with high quality and safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for set-ups and teardowns of extrusion line which includes installation of dies, changing of dies, and operating the lines Responsible for starting up and obtaining quality finished products Troubleshoot and monitor extrusion lines Produce quality product at the lowest cost Responsible for equipment required to package finished product Assist and lead personnel assigned to extrusion line, enforcing safety and quality requirements Continuously observe quality level of products being produced and make necessary adjustments required to maintain this quality level Use company instruments or equipment such as calipers, pliers, screwdrivers, vise grips, "C" clamps, and fixtures Assist extrusion personnel with cleaning of dies and sizers (calibrators) Assist with raw material replenishment and stocking finished products, as needed Perform required general material handling, preparation of packaging, and other duties as may be assigned to maintain production Expected to perform all work in accordance with safety training and standards Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure the area is clean at all times ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Two or more years of extrusion experience in rigid and/or flexible PVC. Use of Cincinnati Milacron and/or Davis Standard equipment a plus.
