Work Location The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. We offer a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday. Primary Responsibilities * Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts for affiliated companies. * Prepare and submit monthly invoices, accruals, and supporting documentation to customers through various online portals/emails, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. * Process and input vendor and subcontractor invoices into the accounting system. * Work collaboratively with vendors, contractors and customers to resolve inconsistencies and problems identified within invoices and billings submitted. * Address and communicate invoice or billing related questions clearly, concisely, and professionally through emails or scheduled meetings. * Process cash receipts and cash disbursements in accordance with approved policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate records of transactions related to customer billings, accounts payable, and cost share contributions. * Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for the month-end and year-end close activities. * Compile monthly financial statement packages for management review. * Assist program managers with various matters related to affiliated companies' member requests. * Support interim and year-end financial audits by preparing assigned schedules and documentation. * Perform other duties as assigned. Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $95,000 annually. This salary range is GTI Energy's good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy's business or organizational needs and an individual's relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. The Particle Theory Group of the High Energy Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Physicist, equivalent to a university tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Depending on experience, an appointment at a higher rank will be considered. The search is in all areas of theoretical particle physics, with an emphasis on particle physics phenomenology. The Data Science Learning Division at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to conduct cutting-edge computational and systems biology research. The primary focus of this role will be exploring how intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) mediate signaling mechanisms, with a particular emphasis on cancer therapeutics. Supported by a multi-year ARPA-H grant, this project aims to revolutionize the development of therapeutic platforms for IDPs, creating significant advancements in cancer research and treatment strategies. We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable postdoctoral researcher to join the Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) project FREEZE (Fundamental Research on Energy-Efficient Zonal Extraction), jointly led by the Chemical Sciences and Engineering (CSE) and Applied Materials (AMD) Divisions at Argonne National Laboratory. This project focuses on understanding the evolution of structure and chemistry at charged solid-liquid interfaces during liquid-solid phase transformations under controlled temperature gradients. The successful candidate will be a creative experimentalist who can design and build custom, non-commercial apparatus compatible with synchrotron scattering and imaging techniques at the Advanced Photon Source. Candidates with prior experience in developing operando electrochemical cells and/or temperature-controlled experimental platforms are strongly preferred. Each project will involve close collaboration with domain experts to leverage emerging computing techniques to solve pressing challenges in energy storage. The successful candidate will work in the Data Science and Learning division of the Computing, Environment, and Life Sciences directorate of Argonne National Laboratories. Primary responsibilities will be to design and implement new techniques for the diagnosis and prognosis of electrochemical energy storage systems. While experience in electrochemical modeling is a benefit, ideal candidates will be expected to work together with domain experts rather than possess all required expertise themselves. Beyond the listed projects, the candidate will be able to contribute to other large-team scientific projects in materials engineering, chemistry, and beyond at Argonne National Laboratory. Position Requirements Required skills: Recently completed PhD (within the last 3 years) in computer science, materials science, chemistry, physics, mathematics or related engineering disciplines Knowledge of deep learning techniques for time-series and image data Experience with applying machine learning or other elements of artificial intelligence to solving significant scientific or engineering problems Interest in software development, with particular emphasis on the Python programming language and contributions to open-source scientific software Good scientific productivity, as demonstrated by publications and conference presentations Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to collaborate with domain subject matter experts professionally and productively Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, respect, safety, integrity, and teamwork.
