Our practice has several office locations and in total has a total of 8 physicians and 9 physician extenders. We are currently seeking a full time PA in the Greater Orlando, FL market. Through a high standard of care, our team of providers have established a large referral base, providing a fantastic opportunity for a PA with excellent clinical skills and a strong work ethic seeking opportunities with busy practice.

Duties:
Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
Examine patients and their medical records
Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
Prescribe medications
Maintain accurate records and schedules
Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
Requirements:
Valid Physician Assistant license in Florida
Master's degree
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team

Work with providers to room office visit pts, which consists of greeting pts, taking vitals, entering history in the EMR and updating medication lists.
Keeping exam room clean and stocked with medical supplies.
Assisting providers with rectal exams and hemorrhoid banding procedures.
Performing testing such a Fibroscans, bone density and breath tests.
Prior authorizations for medication and infusion drugs.
Maintaining logs for expiring infusion medication drugs with each patient's insurance and renewing when needed.
Scheduling testing and procedures for patients after their office visits and from incoming PCP requests.
Spanish and Portuguese speaking is a plus, but not required.

Work with providers to room office visit pts, which consists of greeting pts, taking vitals, entering history in the EMR and updating medication lists.
Keeping exam room clean and stocked with medical supplies.
Assisting providers with rectal exams and hemorrhoid banding procedures.
Performing testing such a Fibroscans, bone density and breath tests.
Prior authorizations for medication and infusion drugs.
Maintaining logs for expiring infusion medication drugs with each patient's insurance and renewing when needed.
Scheduling testing and procedures for patients after their office visits and from incoming PCP requests.
Spanish and Portuguese speaking is a plus, but not required.
Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow
Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation
Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider
Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders
Provide patient education as well as personal patient care to provide comfort and well-being to acknowledge physiological and psychological needs
Under direction from providers, process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with fellow clinic employees, managers and providers
Take direction and initiate actions that will allow cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care
Follow safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines
Other administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant (AAMA certification preferred)
Medical terminology knowledge required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
eClinicalWorks (eCW): 1 year (Preferred)

Efficiently room patients, obtain & record vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, and allergies.
Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience.
Pre-check charts for patients scheduled to be seen in the office, ensuring all necessary results and records are present for review.
Assist provider with physical examinations on patients as needed.
Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the order of a physician).
Performs a variety of office responsibilities, including answering the phone, taking messages, and performing triage within the scope of MA practice in an accurate and timely manner.
Review instructions for medications and diet with patients.
Send referrals to other physicians-examples: surgeons, Hematology, Oncology, etc.
Process and review patient education pertaining to their ongoing care and when necessary to HIPAA appointed care provider prior to implementation.
Administer and document vaccines according to the provider's order.
Maintain accurate documentation, including, but not limited to, clinical notes in electronic health records.
Process all prescription refills and authorization under the direction of the provider-document in the electronic health record.
Covers other clinical team members as needed and may require phone call coverage or clinic coverage, which may include some travel to different offices.
Send physicians' procedures and hospital lists to the coding and hospital desk.
Check the charts at the end of the day to ensure that everything has been completed, scheduled, and signed off.
Practices universal precautions.
This job requires access to Personal Health Information (PHI), HIPAA training is required, and HIPAA compliance is expected.
Participate in training and compliance initiatives as needed (policy changes, procedure changes, etc.).
Review and process PAQ/Clinical Tasks as directed by your provider.
Place recalls at the provider's discretion.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Office Management, Office Manager, and Clinical Lead.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide/Educate prep information for each Direct Access procedure (DAP) and procedure recall patients.
Stock and clean exam rooms.
