Cedars-Sinai Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Division of Gastroenterology. The Nurse Practitioner will be working at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Department of Gastroenterology with 9 Gastroenterologists and 2 Physician Assistant in an outpatient setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




Independently obtains a relevant health and medical history
Performs a physical examination based on age and history and dictates a progress note if needed with the appropriate physicians
Performs and/or orders preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient's age and history
Help physicians provide screening, consultation and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians
Identifies health and medical risk factors




Educational Requirements:




Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
MSN degree required




License/Certification Requirements:




Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California required
Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) required
BlS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
DEA Certification required or eligible to obtain




Experience:




One (1) year of NP experience in GI, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred but not required
