Essential Job Functions

The front gate attendant is the first face that greets all of our guests, impacting their experience here at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Thursdays-Sundays and some additional weekdays. Shift hours from 6:30a-2:30p, 2:00p-8:00p or 10:30p
* Work directly with people, public, private clients and their customers
* Represent Summit Point Motorsports Park professionally with pride and fun
* Have a Welcoming, Customer Service, Friendly, and Helpful attitude
* Punctual with daily reliable transportation, self-motivated, proactive, and detail oriented
* Clean, tidy, and in appropriately dressed uniform
* Come prepared to work in any and all weather, as well as adaptable to pace changes from fast/hectic to slow
* Exchange monies per fee specific events, and electric sales using cash, credit cards and point of sale tablet as well as keep accurate updated log entries, write and distribute receipts.
* Physically walk, stand for extended periods of time, carry signs, change sign boards, move cones, direct traffic, open and close gates in addition to the use of hands, sight, hearing, speech, and fluency in the English language is needed for tasks.
* MUST Have daily access to a computer/internet and phone to communicate scheduling and messages via email, text, and specific websites, to enter time worked, receive pay, and complete company mandatory online compliance training.
* Position specific training is provided.

The
Part-Time Gate Attendant
controls entry into the Garden at walk-in gates and controls parking and the security of vehicles at the Twin Lakes parking lot.
The payrate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and actively helps to build and maintain an inclusive organizational culture throughout the institution.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Screens visitors as they enter the Garden.
- Provides security of all parked vehicles parked in staff parking areas.
- Promotes positive customer service.
- Utilizes two-way radio.
Schedules:
- Friday and Sunday 10am-6:30pm.
Requirements:
- A valid New York State Driver's License.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
