Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership for the facility to ensure commercial execution, which includes providing technical and managerial expertise necessary for the efficient and profitable operation of the elevator and/or terminal. This person must work and communicate effectively with the Location and Regional Operations Managers to assure the facility is in a constant state of preparedness to meet schedules and take advantage of opportunities that arise. * Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
* Ensuring food safety and quality
* Cleanliness and housekeeping
* Responding to radio calls from other departments (production, food safety, safety, etc) for maintenance related actions
* Communicating with other departments and other maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass down of maintenance related issues to the next shift
* Documenting daily work assigned on paper and also in the maintenance management system (SAP)
* Troubleshoot and repair complex problems on all production equipment
* Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures in documenting what is issued out
* Identify problems and make suggestions to improve operational processes
* Perform modifications to improve equipment performance
* Contact equipment vendors to assist in troubleshooting issues, researching parts needed, and requesting quotes for parts
Required Qualifications
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
* Must be 18 years or older
* Ability to read, write, and speak English
* Ability and willingness to train operators and mechanics
* Ability to work alone without supervision
* Perform advanced preventative maintenance (PM's) on plant equipment
* Troubleshoot motors and variable frequency drives
* Troubleshoot PLC's using schematics and ladder logic
* Two years of experience in a maintenance related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous production experience
* Meat processing experience
* Ability to perform basic welding
* Work history in the past 12 months

Principal Accountabilities
Daily Engagement of workforce through direction of work assignments, compensation, communication, recognition, development and coaching, etc...
Manage the workflow process associated with electronics and some electromechanical areas of the facility, including the ASRS system
Develop preventative maintenance procedures to maintain equipment associated with electronics and limited electromechanical equipment throughout the facility; including the management of parts inventory and corrective actions
Manage safety culture through training and observations
Liaison to contractors and Utilities department for projects and work orders
Develop and update PLC and HMI programs as required based on established guidelines and controls for this type of equipment
Ensure compliance of our measuring devices (i.e. Packers and Stockyards and Nebraska Department of Weights and Measures)
Responsible for department budget, including labor and operating expenses
Required Qualifications
Legal to work in the US without the need of a Visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
2 year degree or better in electrical or electromechanical technologies or 3 years of experience with industrial process controls and industrial networking
Competency in basic electrical 24 and 120 volt AC and DC circuits
Basic knowledge of Windows XP/7 operating systems
Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food processing environment
Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC Programming and troubleshooting, RsLogix 500/Control Logix 5000, Factory Talk View
Install and trouble shoot Industrial Networks- Ethernet base and components
Ability to read and interpret schematics, general machine installation and repairs
