A RadiologicTechnologist performs a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. RadiologicTechnologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. RadiologicTechnologists prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
Job Duties
+ Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
+ Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
+ Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
+ Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable.
+ Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
+ Assisting the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
+ Performing diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those procedures performed outside of the Radiology Department (i.e., Operating room, Endoscopy, ICU, etc.).

RadiologicTechnologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A RadiologicTechnologist performs a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
RadiologicTechnologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. RadiologicTechnologists prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
Job Duties:
Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable.
Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
Assisting the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
Performing diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those procedures performed outside of the Radiology Department (i.e., Operating room, Endoscopy, ICU, etc.).

Job Summary:
To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of a computed tomography (CT) scanner for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
Practices proper entries and records on the imaging system and radiology information system.
Prepares patient for CT procedure by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education. (See attached age-specific addendum)
Operates computed tomography scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Practices safety measures in CT and Environment of Care.
Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Performs all duties in which individual is licensed to perform under ARRT guidelines.
Performs other related duties as required.
Supervision:
Reports To: Site Administrator
Required Education / Experience:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered.
One year CT experience or graduate of CT training program with minimum of 500 clinical hours of CT training.
