1969

In 1969, he sold his tape business and formed Gemini Speaker Systems, operating initially out of a 4,000-square-foot location in Brooklyn.

1974

1974: DJ division is formed.

1984

To strengthen its ties to the music store channel, Gemini began in 1984 to participate in the annual tradeshow of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).

1993

1993: Gemini receives a contract to provide logistics, property, information and transportation support to the John A. Volpe Transportation Center in Cambridge and establishes a track record of customer service that continues today

The company launched a wireless division in 1993.

1994

1994: The company's first international office is opened in France.

1998

The interior wood coating manufacturer began running its own fleet of trucks in 1998.

In 1998, looking to strengthen its line of lighting products, Gemini acquired Ness Imports Inc., a 21-year-old special effects lighting manufacturer based in Hackensack, New Jersey.

2000

2000: Gemini provides Subject Matter Expert support to Air Force project activities at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia

2001

2001: Gemini wins a $120 Million Contract to provide support to Military leaders and Defense programs and opens its office in Tampa Florida

2002

2002: Gemini supports the development and sustainment of: C2 systems such as JTRS and MATT; C2ISR systems such as JTWS and CAPS; enterprise systems such as SOCRATES; and ISR systems such as HF-TTL and DCGS

2003

The MP3000X was just one of a number of products Gemini introduced in 2003 as it continued to maintain its position of leadership in DJ products.

2005

2005: Gemini wins a $20M contract at Hanscom Air Force Base and begins support to Air and Space Operations, Theater Battle Management and Foreign Military Sales Programs in Massachusetts, Colorado, Nevada, Virginia and Saudi Arabia

2005: A Gemini team develops a program to accelerate delivery of equipment and supplies to military service members overseas from 6 months to 2 weeks

2005: The contract value of $120 Million is increased to $300 Million to expand support and accommodate projects in the National Capital Region, California, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington State

2006

2006: Upgrades for Terrain Following/Terrain Avoidance and SIGINT capabilities

2006: Gemini performs analyses to counter world-wide Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device threat to deployed forces

2011

2011: Gemini begins a $200 Million contract to provide mission support to counter improvised explosive device defeat

2012

2012: Support is expanded to deliver cutting-edge technology to support law enforcement investigation

2017

CEO Victoria Bondoc was named the 2017 Massachusetts Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Administration Massachusetts Office, and Woman Small Business Owner of the Year for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
