The Senior ManufacturingEngineer is responsible for implementation of innovative technology and processes solutions that enhance Generac's fabrication and paint capabilities. They will be responsible for partnering with design engineering to improve DFM in fabrication and welding, implementing robust OEE improvement activities, determining equipment capacities, optimizing production, and working with manufacturing personnel to ensure plans are implemented.
Responsibilities:
Significant responsibility for area layouts, process definition, design/selection, justification, and implementation of equipment, programs, and tooling in support of capacity and continuous improvement projects;
Responsible for supporting the successful inclusion of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in New Product Introductions (NPI) that have sheet metal components;
Contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer and ongoing maintenance of sheet metal fabrication value streams;
Ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation that support sheet metal fabrication;
Implement demand driven principles and strategies that supports operational excellence and long range plans (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness);
Ensure product, material, and information streams flow and are synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation in the sheet metal fabrication areas;
Contribute to creation of innovative ideas to improve business results, specifically in the sheet metal fabrication areas;
Deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes;
Implement objectives to include continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs;
Work closely with shop floor personnel to promote ongoing Continuous Improvement of manufacturing methods, systems and controls;

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical degree;
5+ years related experience in the Engineering function within a similar working environment;
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years experience in ManufacturingEngineering function directly supporting soft tooled sheet metal fabrication processes, specifically turret punching, laser cutting, press brakes, MIG welding.
ManufacturingEngineering experience with Amada and Salvagnini fabrication equipment;
Experienced project manager in the acquisition and implementation of new machine tools from start-up to reaching the desired production throughput.
Experience with CAD/CAM software associated with sheet metal fabrication equipment
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Solid Works and/or ProE);
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills;
Knowledge of lean principles and process improvements;
Diverse skills and experience leading projects;
Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve desired results;
Experience operating in high mix, low volume and high volume, low mix production environments;
Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict resolution;
Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Determine root cause and corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues involving noncompliant product or material.

Provide training to production staff on new or updated processes
Assist forecasting capital equipment requirements in advance of need.

Education & Experience
Minimum 5yr. experience in high-tech manufacturing environment

Practical working knowledge of a variety of lasers, particularly solid state lasers, including safety, setup, operation and troubleshooting

The ManufacturingEngineer at Nippon Sanso Matheson will work with multiple disciplines to build, integrate, and test purification for toxic and non-toxic gases, and high- and low-pressure gas handling systems.
This is an all-encompassing role to take designs through production and beyond. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building mechanical structures, working in a team environment, and have good technical writing skills.
Production
Responsible for program module builds, following all builds from sub-assembly to final assembly to meet delivery deadlines.
Develop, write, review, and implement manufacturing plans, production travelers and SOPs
Ensure the product meets all customer requirements and travelers capture all required data
Work directly with technicians and the production floor supervisors on product builds
Help train technicians on processes and procedures
Assist in the planning, development and implementation of manufacturing and quality activities
Design
Review Designs and Design changes for manufacturing
Evaluate proposed designs for DfM, provide feedback to design team for manufacturability.
Quality
Drive non-conformances into actionable work and system improvements
Assist in company-wide operational excellence projects and activities
Procurement
Develop and maintain relationships with specialty manufacturers and service bureaus in our supply chain
Work with Procurement to meet the needs of inventory ordering and delivery
Track and manage open inventory orders to ensure production is on time
Manage inventory inspections and verification, and ensure products meet the requirements prior to being issued to the floor.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Job Description
We are a seeking an experienced assembler who has the ability to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
What you'll do
The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications
Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
Operate and set up Dage 400 and K & S 4124 Manual Wire Bonding equipment to perform thermosonic gold wire and aluminum wire bonding.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications.
Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential.
Assist with training as required.
Perform Bond Pull, Die Shear and Sheer Strength Test as determined by Supervisor.
Delicate hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding techniques specifically under the microscopes.
Inspect completed work to quality requirements.
What you need
Possess excellent manual dexterity, manufacturing knowledge. Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope.
Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties.
Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control.)
Must be able to work overtime if required, on short notice.
High School Diploma and basic computer skills are a necessity.
A minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly, production environment, or cleanroom experience is essential.

What you'll do
