    Payroll Administrator National Steel and Shipbuilding Com Security Clearance: No Clearance Supervises day to day activities and operations of the payroll department, providing supervision and training to lower level payroll staff. Frequent contact with all levels of employees, office support personnel and outside vendors, IT personnel and PeopleSoft support is expected. Interacts with Corporate Payroll Shared Recourses Inc.SRI for payroll processing and other operations. Works well with all types of people, in a high paced environment and pressure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Performs and supervises all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, filing reports, processing involuntary/voluntary deductions, preparing accounting transactions and documents, preparing and filing quarterly/yearly company income tax returns, documenting and updating procedures and preparing special reports for senior management.Researches and advises payroll staff concerning the accounting treatment of complex transactions such as specialized reporting requirements and withheld accounts adjustments and balancing.Performs periodic reviews of various payroll areas and prepares materials for payroll, accounting, and government auditors.Actively participates in identifying opportunities and implements process and procedure improvements to increase efficiency and to support payroll operation changes to improve: safety, quality, and to reduce cycle times and costs.Maintains updates and reviews Payroll Department metrics and process documentation.Assist with testing and documenting new practices and/or programs Special projects as required. Market Research: Assist in determining which products to bring to market through third party research, direct communication with students and competitors, and financial analysis. GTM/Project Mgmt: Manage product launches, brief content and design teams, and ensure our unique value proposition is represented consistently across sales and marketing collateral. Sales Enablement: Ensure Sales and Marketing teams have the information and collateral needed to drive growth through their channels, by developing sales tools and content like landing pages, open house decks, internal trainings, and student-facing collateral. Presentations: Pitch and prepare decks for in-depth discussions with key stakeholders and senior management. Presentations will cover topics such as new product launches, competitive research, and product performance. Support new products post-launch through promotions, product improvements, channel mix adjustments, and/or improved messaging. Qualifications: 3+ years in product marketing or a closely related field such as content marketing, sales enablement, or customer success - preferably within technology or education. A strategic thinker who loves getting into the weeds to solve complex problems, and who can synthesize large volumes of information to attain clarity and make clear decisions. Strong customer focus and experience using customer insights and market research to inform marketing strategies. A born writer and creator who can produce customer-facing content that is compelling and on-brand, and can guide creative partners to add polish. Ability to influence across highly cross-functional teams, manage senior stakeholders, and represent the voice of the customer in various forums. A drive for results and excellent judgement combined with honed product sense. Project management skills, a data-driven and detail-oriented approach. A great teammate - someone who can collaborate, ingest good ideas from wherever they originate, and quickly build trust and mutual respect. A passion for transforming lives through STEM education!
