*This job is located at the Philadelphia, PA location.* The successful candidate will contribute to oversight of nondestructive (NDT) being conducted at specific Electric Boat suppliers and distributed manufacturing facilities. This position will provide technical evaluation, guidance, and expertise in various NDT methods such as magnetic particle testing [MT], liquid penetrant testing [PT], visual testing [VT], and ultrasonic testing [UT]). Primary responsibilities are supplier on-site evaluations and audits, witnessing re-inspections, monitoring supplier NDT program administration, reviewing supplier NDT training and onboarding programs, and evaluating the overall health of each strategic sourcing supplier NDT program.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Review, administer, and perform surveillances to ensure compliance with fabrication, welding, and NAVSEA NDT specifications.
Maintain company standards, procedures, best practices, and process improvements in the field on NDT.
Providing technical guidance and expertise with respect to manufacturing support and problem resolution.
Interact with EB Strategic Sourcing Program Office, Suppliers, EB Engineering, EB Supplier Quality, EB Quality Assurance Engineering, EB Purchasing, EB Operations, EB COLUMBIA Program Office, EB VIRGINIA Program Office, Newport News Shipbuilding, SUPSHIP Groton, and NAVSEA as required.
Preparing technical reports as result of findings during oversight, research and development, and problem resolution investigations.
Selected candidate will be expected to pass Level III certifications within 1 year of employment.
Travel is estimated to be 30% per work year.
Qualifications
Required:
High-school diploma or GED with appropriate related NDT certification(s) or experience
Certified Level II in at least MT, PT and VT in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A/ NAS-410/ EN-4179/NSTR-99 with a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing hands on NDT inspections
OR
Current or previously held Level III certifications in at least MT, PT and VT in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A/NAS-410/EN-4179/ NAVSEA 250-1500-01 with minimum of three (3) years' experience functioning as a Level III (if two of the three methods are achieved, ability to certify in the last method is acceptable)
Applicants must provide documented evidence of classroom training, OJT hours, and certification records in support of qualification and experience
Ability to pass and maintain Level III Certification within One (1) year of hire
Preferred:
For internal Electric Boat employees: EB shipyard NDT experience
Presently or previously certified in multiple NDT methods as a Level II or III.
A background in engineering or engineering support
Experience in Quality in an industrial environment, shipbuilding or other heavy fabrication
Familiarity with Military specifications (T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 and NAVSEA 250-1500-1)
Current Level III certification in MT, PT, VT and RT or UT as T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 (ASNT NDT Level III) or NAVSEA 250-1500-01 Examiner.
Hands on experience with:
Dry Magnetic Particle Testing using Yoke and Prod Techniques.

They are responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel on the range and securing SSI and SPII information during and after requalification sessions.
**HOW A LEAD FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR** **WILL** **MAKE AN IMPACT:**
Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact at the training venue for Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) and is the on-site training manager for the program. LFIs conduct all classroom instruction; delivering the approved TSA training and safety brief; introducing and describing new equipment; and ensuring all students understand and sign the safety briefing. The LFI ensures a minimum number of SFIs are present to maintain an instructor/student ratio of 1:6 for each training session. The LFI must ensure a sufficient inventory of training supplies is on-hand at the training venue to support monthly requalification sessions. The LFI is expected to maintain positive control of the training environment from the moment students arrive at the venue to the moment they depart. Upon students? arrival; the LFIs must verify weapons and credentials of each FFDO before training commences by visual inspection. The LFI is responsible for ensuring proper scoring of targets; completion of applicable administrative forms; and collection of training data. The LFI is required sign and certify qualification scores for all FFDOs attempting to qualify. Failure of an FFDO to qualify also means that an authorized FAMS Representative and/or LFI takes custody of the unloaded weapon; transport device (lockbox); credential and other equipment for return to TSA/FAMS. If no authorized FAMS representative is present to receive the equipment; the LFI shall make immediate verbal notification to the FFDO Program Office in order to make the appropriate arrangements to return equipment and credentials. The LFI must keep all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy. The LFI is oversees time keeping of all SFI labor hours. The LFI must comply with internal compliance training events
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:**
EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT TRAINING: Current or former federal law enforcement agent; officer; or civilian employee having completed a recognized federal firearm instructor training program deemed acceptable by the TSA/FAMS. Examples of a recognized federal firearms instructor programs include; but are not limited to; certified instructor graduates of FLETC Firearms Instructor Training program (FITP); FAMS Firearms Instructor Training Program; FBI/DEA Firearms Instructor Training Program; United States Postal Inspectors Firearms Instructor Training Program or equivalent federal training program. All LFIs must successfully complete a 2-3 days firearms re-qualification training program under the technical direction of the SAC; FAMS Training Division; and the FFDO Program Office. Areas of instruction shall include; but not to be limited to; the re-qualification course(s) of fire; procedural requirements for conducting the re-qualification session; and use of a GFE Automatic External Defibrillator (AED); and basic first aid.

UNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Working Conditions The work is typically performed at an indoor or outdoor gun range. The Work
• Develop high-fidelity modeling and simulation for radar tracking algorithms to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
• Conduct performance analyses and trade studies on tracking functions
• Provide algorithm design feedback of low-to-high fidelity LRDR RepBox code that incorporates: Sensing phenomenology; Signal processing; Detection, tracking, and discrimination functionalities; Interface dependencies with other Ground-Based Midcourse Defense components

The Lead Radar Simulation Engineer will:
• Provide continuous recurring guidance (derived requirements) for the development and sustainment of a RepBox “black box behavior and effects level” for a Long-Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) RepBox models
-- Analyze RepBox anchoring runs and compare to HWIL runs (flight test and/or ground test)
-- Act as liaison for RepBox development team when obtaining reach-back support from Moorestown LRDR prime contractor to better model algorithms and performance for the model
-- Identify and elaborate feature improvements to the RepBox LRDR model
-- Provide continuous feedback to the RepBox development team to guide development of applicable models particularly with new algorithm designs, higher fidelity recommendations, interface changes, and anomalous behavior
• Define Certification criteria for the applicable LRDR radar model RepBox and provide Certification statements as the Radar SME that the subject radar meets the defined criteria for the intended use
• Provide certification level radar SME analysis support with anchoring data to HWIL and RepBox provided run output. Any off nominal or out of family results will be documented and reported to the RepBox development team
• Travel will be required to visit LRDR prime contractor for additional training and instruction on LRDR capabilities, features, and data analysis

What You'll Get to Do:
The Principal Contract Administrator will be considered a key focal point on contract matters within the organization and must demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. As most assignments are complex, the position will require the candidate to work independently without appreciable direction.
This position will require excellent oral and written communication skills and will represent the organization as a focal point on contract matters. This position will require interaction with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations and may develop and deliver presentations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead and coordinate the company response to customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on risk identification and mitigation strategies

In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Follow instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to print and operation sheet specifications using CNC machines
* Interpret CAD data, prints and sketches regarding fabrication and follow written instructions
* Set up and operation of one or more computer numerical controlled machining centers for both horizontal and vertical machines. Performs such operations as drilling, milling, boring, & tapping, etc. on any/all types of work within the scope of the machine
* Verify NC code during execution of setup
* Perform secondary operations during machine cycle such as deburring and straightening

* Select and install proper cutting tools, zero in the machine to control and make other necessary setup adjustments

* Analyze machining results and performance targets with budgeted times and communicate shift targets for jobs to be run in production
* Maintain coolant levels and perform minor preventive maintenance to equipment
