This position is responsible for elements of the Quality System and directly develops, leads or partners with stakeholders responsible for manufacturing and inspection of aircraft assembly, completions, component manufacturing, repair station and supplier quality functions across multi-site locations. Key responsibilities include developing quality strategies that align with Gulfstream's integrated production system and interior completions while ensuring compliance to FAA Part 21 & 145, EASA, AS9102 FAI, NADCAP, DoD, international customer regulations, industry standards, and execution of internally developed quality standards. Accountable for engagement in developing teams with high quality performance across multiple organizations by establishing a culture of collaboration, effective communication and continuous improvement. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: * Key leader influencing change through effective communication strategy that drives organizational change. Facilitate partnerships with business units to embed quality into product development, engineering change processes, and production transitions. Chair or participates in product, manufacturing, or technical councils to advise on quality principles for implementation strategies . * Develops specialized quality oversite strategy that may include, the Quality role within the Material Review Board, critical inspection characteristics in work plans to meet type design. Leads or collaborates with others to ensure inspection functions are properly executed and embedded appropriately across shifts, facilities and business units . * Develop with stakeholders an enterprise Personnel Qualification System that retains traceable training records, limits critical manufacturing and service tasks through electronic system controls based on authorized roles . * Responsible for execution of NDT inspection services performed at Gulfstream and supporting supplier approval audits to Gulfstream specific material procedures. Maintains NDT program continuity with ASNT, NADCAP, Gulfstream defined program and industry standard guidance. Assess development of new standards to support evolving business needs . * Provides oversight of manufacturing repair station and/or flight test airworthiness activities, aircraft testing, conformity and configuration. Evaluates in-service quality data and conducts investigations into manufacturing in response to escapes. Ensures quality support for design certification projects . * Analyze defect trends, inspection escapes and rework data to resolve quality issues in real time. Conducts investigations using formal tools such as FMEA, DMAIC, CAPA, fault tree or similar methods . * Establish multi-year goals strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise goals and objectives. Deliberately flow down goals and establish measurements and methods that substantiate success expected .
