Sets up and operates bending presses and heating units for hot or cold bending, forming or offsetting

Selects proper materials or parts as described in the routing package

Assist other machine operators ensuring that parts produced are being inspected and meet quality standards.

Shares expertise and knowledge throughout the lathe area and be a focal point for advice on machining.
Help operators make the most efficient use of machinery and equipment by helping them with proper feeds and speeds.
Be proactively aware of workload and plan tooling and material requirements for future jobs ensuring minimum downtime. Inform shop supervisor of tooling required as needed.
Manufacture jigs and fixtures to improve productivity and accuracy.

Working with tooling, cutter technology and part fixturing
In-process inspection and first piece approvals
Accountable for part conformance to requirements
Use of existing and developing new programing for newly machined parts.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years minimum experience in setup and running of various CNC milling equipment.
Ability to indicate diameters and faces on pieces to be machined.
Knowledge of GD & T and process sketches
Feed rate and machining best practices on various type of metals
Work Environment:
Must have ability to lift 25-40 lbs
Frequent Standing, Twisting and Bending

Perform routine maintenance and replace any tool heads as needed.
Load raw materials into CNC machine to produce parts.
Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
Monitor machine operation to detect any problems or errors, make recommendations.
Adhere to all safety standards and regulations including appropriate personal protective equipment.
Inspect finished products using precision measuring equipment (calipers, gages, and micrometers) to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
Document and report any issues or irregularities that may arise during the machining process.
Collaborate with other machinists and team members to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
Continuously improves skills and knowledge through training and experience to increase productivity and efficiency.
Must be able to achieve quality and production goals.
Use hand tools, inspection tools and machinery as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience with CNC machines specifically 3 and 5 axis.
Attention to detail, quality and safety mindset.
Basic blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
Understanding the relationship of speeds and feeds with various materials.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and work as a team.
Must have the ability to operate industrial trucks, and overhead cranes.
High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Standing for long periods of time, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required- No sponsorship offered.
