Here's the Gist:
Wolfspeed is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to be responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, preparation of standard journal entries related to month-end close, GL account review and analysis, maintaining account reconciliation compliance, and assistance with the production of timely internal financial statements and reports. This position will cross-train as necessary within the team to ensure that all deadlines are met as well as assist in timely and accurate SEC filings. Additionally, the Senior Accountant may also participate in any number of special projects.
The Day-to-Day:
Perform various monthly account reconciliations. Research and interact with other teams within Wolfspeed to assess the appropriateness of account transactions. Record adjustments as necessary Prepare monthly standard journal entries and supporting schedules - particular areas of focus: cash, prepaids, accruals, foreign exchange transactions and intangibles accounting Prepare and take ownership of schedules as needed to support internal and external reporting Interact with both internal and external auditors to ensure all appropriate controls are being followed Interact with representatives from multiple banks during the month to help resolve any discrepancies that may occur Participate and support special projects
