ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The General Operator role has a seasonality effect. The type of work assigned will vary based on the current season. In spring and summer, you will be assigned to teams supporting a variety of responsibilities. You could spend time inspecting and maintaining our seed crops or you could support seed inventory management at the plant. Fall is a busy season with harvesting and seed packaging in full swing. In the winter, you’ll be cleaning & packaging seed, supporting maintenance work, warehousing and shipping seed to ensure our customers have the product they need for the coming planting season.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations
• Ability to safely perform duties in timely fashion while maintaining seed quality
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs
• Ability to make independent decisions

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed
• Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect
• Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including over-time as needed;
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces

Monitors and operates equipment and facilities, including field equipment, insuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Rotates through various roles within the area, including, in some cases, a control room rotation.

The primary purpose of this position is to operate a machine at production standards while meeting quality and safety standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and operate machinery
• Able to lift 20 pounds or more depending on position
• Utilize material to eliminate excess scrap and waste
• Maintain a clean safe, and organized work area at the end of each shift
• Work well in a team environment
SKILLS
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prefer a minimum of 1 years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction, and to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to use and read a tape measure
• Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment
• Be able to work with large and small parts with accuracy and speed

Loader/Packer: $16.50 - $20.50

•Monitor automatic and or semi-automatic packaging equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.

•Visual quality inspection for packaging durability and product acceptability.

•Cleaning and preparation of trailers

•Loading product into trailers or storage areas.

•Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

•Film roll/bag changes as needed.

Machine Operators: $18.50 - $24.00

• Operating production machines and equipment to maximum efficiency; trouble-shooting equipment problems; performing change-overs on machines; keeping equipment operating to maximum efficiency; ensuring all guards, shields, and safety functions are in place and working properly

• Looking for anyone with 6mo+ of any type of machine operating experience

Material Handlers: $18.50 - $23.50
