What We're Looking For - Qualifications and Skills:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years' experience with proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, finance, service, or related industries.
Operations experience in a leadership capacity.

· Provide financial leadership and support to hotels in assigned area or market.
· Ensures property P&L's are accurate (i.e., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts) and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner.
· Ensures tax rates used for sales/use tax are current and proper amounts are collected and/or accrued.
· Ensures compliance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
· Ensures account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs.
· Oversee & support internal controls specifically Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) compliance.
· Reviews audit issues and makes corrections as necessary.
· Ensures property permits, licenses and if applicable vendor contracts are current.
· Maintain file of all contracts, leases, insurance policies, tax reports, expenses, payroll, etc.
· Leverages centralized accounting processes and shared services.
· Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
· Support the hotel financial department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, auditing, payroll, general accounting, and EOM reporting.
· Monitor and reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts including the bank accounts monthly.
· Support food and beverage inventories as needed (auditing, booking entries etc.).
· Planning and implementation of financial procedures and systems.
· Preparation of reports outlining hotel's financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
· Assist with the development of short- and long-term financial plans for the hotel's that support overall StepStone objectives.
· Preparation of the annual hotel operating budget, capital budget, & business plan.
· Preparation of weekly/monthly hotel forecasting.
· Participate in monthly P&L reviews/meetings as well as ownership review meetings as required.
· Process payroll including data input and tax filings as required by State and Federal law.
· Monitor and correct the performance of the hotel through verification and analysis of monthly financial reports.
· Leverages technology and effectively uses information systems and tools to generate financial reports and provide managers with analytical support to drive decision-making.
Other duties as required to support the Regional Controller to achieve desired results.
Requirements
· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
· Must have a comprehensive knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
· Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills (Microsoft office products).
· 4-year college degree required in accounting or finance and 5 years of similar work experience preferably in the lodging industry required.
· Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
Salary Description $110K-$120K
