Internships take place at various locations throughout the United States, during an 10-12-week period. The Analytical Chemistry and Media Lab team is searching for an Analytical Chemistry Intern to drive analytical support for the filtration development. The intern will have a specific method development project designed for the summer as an opportunity to expand their skills, learn about Donaldson, and broaden their work experience. Role Responsibilities: Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design experiments that solve thermo-mechanical problems in filtration product development. Prepare/condition samples; run DSC, TGA, and DMA; perform basic method development and data analysis. Document procedures and results; deliver clear written reports and concise data presentations. Help develop or refine analytical methods/SOPs for thermo-mechanical characterization. Participate in problem solving and provide data-driven recommendations to the project team. Perform additional assignments (e.g., standardized testing, EHS initiatives, instrument upkeep) as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Current junior/3rd year undergraduate enrolled in an accredited program pursing a bachelor's degree in chemistry, material science, polymer science, or closely related fields. Experience working in chemistry laboratory setting including laboratory safety practices. Must have completed one of the following collegiate courses: Organic Chemistry I, Analytical/Quantitative Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Instrumental Analysis. Familiarity with FTIR and microscopy techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Thermo-mechanical analysis experience (DSC, TGA, DMA) is a plus. General filtration knowledge and familiarity with membrane technology/operating principles are a plus. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills. Must have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Hourly Pay Rate: $27.00, depending on projected undergraduate graduation date, educational degree in progress and major of study upon time of hire. SUMMARY: The Event Operations Intern performs and supervises a variety of duties in the Event Operations Department of Charlotte Motor Speedway Operations; and performs related duties as assigned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to the Senior Manager of Event Operations to ensure that all events are serviced by pre/post cleaning, event setup and teardown, and facility maintenance projects Responsible for pre/post event trash pickup duties and hauling waste Involved in event setup equipment including barricades, parking cones, bleachers, and fencing Involved in track setup operations including setting barriers, track asphalt maintenance, and painting Performs pressure washing duties around property including grandstands, concourses, sidewalks buildings, and other facility areas Completes work order assignments in a timely manner Work events and perform various duties as needed to make event successful Performs preventative maintenance on all department equipment to ensure efficiency Assembles and moves furniture along with other equipment around property Attends Manager's and other staff meetings and is involved in logistical planning discussions Assists management in production and review of vendor RFPs Helps to ensure vendors are meeting the parameters of their contractual agreements Inventory review of Operational assets such as bike rack, trash receptacles, fencing, etc. Production of word or excel documents as needed by management Provide management with 360 feedback on workflow efficiency and performance of all fellow operations crew members Assist with the setup and teardown of all events as directed by management Assists other departments when needed Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of event operations for a large scale multi-function event complex Knowledge of a variety of operations equipment including pressure washers, forklifts, tractors, etc. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Skill in using hand and power tools. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with CMS staff and the customers. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. This position is 29 hours a week plus additional hours and possible overtime during our event seasons. It is required that the position is available to work all three shifts during event weekends. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED and one (1) year event operations experience in a large event facility, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Involvement in a College degree seeking track that requires an internship in the Facility Management or Event Management field. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license is required, and a clear driving record is required. This is a paid internship at a hourly rate.

This position also shares in the responsibilities of the day-to-day support for all Copart corporate support. • Imaging Windows Systems • Imaging Android and IOS mobile devices • Track, update and resolve tickets in the Helpdesk Ticketing system. • Document and update all equipment, printers, PC, UPS. • Manage inventory and documentation for all equipment in the Campus and the Field. • Install and support all IT devices used at the Campus, offices and Yard and includes: PC's, Mobility devices and Infrastructure components. • Provide assistance on IT projects as directed, including but not limited to research, configuration, and deployment. • Coordinate operational yard and Campus changes, adds, moves, integrations, to meet business needs. • Create and compile documents to update projects in Copart's SharePoint site. • Coordinate with Copart's desktop support teams on purchasing, configuring and shipping all PC equipment to the project yard or corporate sites. • Procure and configure all network and desktop equipment for the yards and campus. • Coordinate with the yards site contact on the arrival of the IT equipment and Copart team to site. • Review inventory of the IT equipment with the site contact at the project yard or site. • Assist with the installation of the network and PC equipment any projects at the yards, Campus or remote sites. • Conduct tests on all PC equipment, ET2000, PCs, printer overrides to verify connectivity to the network. • Finalize all the job scope tasks before project yard or site's opening day • Deploy CAT trailer equipment as directed by Copart IT & Operations Department. • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and possess/demonstrate good judgment in stressful situations. • Familiar with ticket-based support • Individual must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Familiar with network and PC equipment: physical installations i.e. set up of PCs, printers, and mobile devices. • Individual must be able to work with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and to complete basic tasks. • Must possess excellent communication and customer services skills in order to work with vendors and Copart employees. • Individual must be able to lift 50 pound items repeatedly • Must have an understanding of Windows systems.
