General Motors has needs for qualified Die Maker Journeypersons. Working under minimal supervision, the skilled trades Die Maker Journeyperson is responsible for building, repairing, remodeling, and maintaining all types of dies using various types of material.
Primary Responsibilities:

* Fabricate and/or repair dies for production, including performing required welding operations
* Read blueprints to perform die repair/fabrication

Inbound Receipt Reconciliation

Understand PDS product portfolio
Work with Engineering, Advance Launch Managers (ALMs) and Global Commodity Managers (GCMs) to understand BOM structures and main building blocks of the different product lines

Job Purpose

Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to their assigned GM worksite, five days per week and to respond to the site in the event of an emergency after hours, on weekend or holidays.
The Role:
This role provides engineering support for joining, dispense, and launch activities within the vehicle assembly and body production organization. The position ensures successful implementation of processes during product launches while supervising a small to medium team of hourly employees in the body shop.
What You'll Do:
* Complete all GMS (Global Manufacturing System) audits & requirements
* Actively implements safety & housekeeping standards (WPO)
* Complete all FIFO (First In - First Out) audits & requirements
* Exceeds BPD SPQRCE & BIQ4 requirements
* Support TIP (Throughput Improvement Process) as needed
* Organize, execute, & follow up all necessary work needed for weekend completion in areas of assignment
* Keeps management informed of developments as they occur & escalates as required
* Implements divisional & Corporate policies
* Complies with the terms of local & national labor agreements
* Maintains corporate & unit management control systems & department records
* Pay personnel in time keeping systems (KRONOS or other) daily
* Maintain, implement and continuously improve process control methods for the body shop welding, fastening, sealing & adhesive applications to include:
* Maintain database of all non-conforming joining problems
* Maintain weld equipment with yearly certifications
* Maintain and update all weld tool information sheets
* Maintain Audit Certification for Body Shop
* Provide plant floor troubleshooting, training and problem solving to root cause analysis
* Propose and evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment for assigned areas
* Be a technical resource for manufacturing engineers, skilled trades and production teams
* Process validation experience with new equipment build, installation and start-up
* Knowledge of computer software as it pertains to the manufacturing process
* Must be able to rotate or work off shifts and work weekends (3 shift operation)
* Provide a safe work environment & comply with all policies
* Work with engineering & production teams for quality, warranty & cost improvement activities
* Coordinate input from internal/external customers to meet customer needs and/or perceptions
* Cover maintenance areas as required, including weekend rotations
* Assist with Joining & Dispense Launch activities as needed
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent training preferred
* 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, body shop operations, or production launch support.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-shift coordination and stakeholder engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, implement process improvements, and drive throughput efficiency.
* Skilled in analyzing operational data and facilitating corrective actions during launch phases.
* Must be willing to work on any shift on a rotation basis

The Systems Integration Engineer Intern will assist their team with ensuring the system integration processes and activities of integrating hardware & software is completed for an electrification project. This person will be responsible for supporting fulfilling the system integration requirements and collaborating with the hardware and software teams throughout the product development process, including setting up, troubleshooting, and testing the products to complete system integration for electrification products.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting development of system integration strategy.
Perform Hardware & Software testing & prepare results.
Support Manufacturing processes
Participate in Peer Reviews of System Integration & Qualification Strategy and Test Specifications.
Interface and support System Test Engineers and Test Automation Engineers.
Supporting Bench definition/configuration required for Testing.
Supporting development of manufacturing programming process.
What We Are Looking For
Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college
GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date
Experience in Writing Test specifications on Requirements as well as Designs (Doors, Polarion, etc.).
Experience of different Type of Test Generation Methodology.
Knowledge of scripting languages
Experience with Matlab
Experience in coding with C, C# and Python
