**The Role** General Motors has needs for qualified Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator Journeypersons. Working under minimal supervision, the skilled trades Stationary Engineer Journeyperson is responsible for operating and maintaining gas fired boilers, large centrifugal and reciprocating air compressors, heat exchangers, water softeners, chilled water systems, cooling towers, wastewater systems, high quality water systems, and/or other related equipment found in an industrial powerhouse.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
+ Responsible for the maintenance and repair of assigned equipment
+ Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays
+ Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment
+ Participate in continuous improvement activities
+ Read and interpret blueprints
+ Basic computer skills

* Responsible for the maintenance and repair of assigned equipment
* Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays

Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:
* At least six (6) years of related experience as a Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator or a U.S Department of Labor Certificate of Completion as a Stationary Engineer.

* At least 18 years of age
* Eligible to work in the United States
* Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift as well as overtime hours daily, weekends and holidays on those shifts with little notice

What you'll do:
Eaton is looking for a Lead Power Electronics Engineer for its Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop innovative solutions for our power conversion products.
Eaton's PE CoE accelerates the company's growth through the development of power electronics technology platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable, as well as standardized design methodologies that can be adopted by multiple business units, which provide a foundation for our business to develop innovative products more rapidly.
This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing power electronics circuits, platforms, and systems for power conversion and circuit protection applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Lead power electronics design and development, taking full ownership of assigned tasks.
* Design, model, simulate, and develop power electronics, including analog and digital circuits for power conversion and protection.
* Develop technical requirements and create reports and presentations.
* Build and test circuits, analyze data, and optimize designs for performance, size, cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
* Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate designs.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 6 years work experience in power electronics designs and product development OR Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 4 years work experience in power electronics designs and product development
* Minimum 4 years of experience in power electronics modeling, simulation, and analysis experience using tools like Simulink, SPICE, or PLECS
* Minimum 4 years of experience with power converter hardware development and testing
