The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time Neurohospitalist to provide clinical neurology services. This is a hospital clinical-based position based in a tertiary care center with state-of-the-art oncology and surgical subspecialties at the University of Minnesota.
Position Highlights:
Provide inpatient clinical neurology services at the award-winning M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MNServe as the attending physician on a resident-led team.Practice hospital based general neurology alongside subspecialized neurocritical care and stroke/vascular neurology.7 days on / 7 days off with no outpatient coverage.Typical patient volume (8-12) Call shared with a team of Neurohospitalists and clinical neurology providers. Night call does not include stroke call.Teach and supervise medical students and residents at the University of Minnesota.
This position will be annually appointed on the Master Clinician Track at a faculty rank that commiserates with years of experience and education. Scholarly academic activities will focus on teaching, quality improvement and care model optimization. There is opportunity to develop, lead and integrate a neurohospitalist fellowship within the MHealth Fairview community hospitals.
