Summary: Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking an experienced Payments Resolution Lead, who serves as the Lead Contractor representative for payment resolution operations. This role performs all duties of Payments & Payment Resolution staff while also handling administrative and supervisory responsibilities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payment resolution support. The Lead provides day-to-day guidance to the team, trains new hires, and independently executes complex payment resolution assignments requiring sound judgment. Preference will be given to candidates who live within 50 miles of Austin, Texas or Waco, Texas. Onsite travel required if residing outside of a commutable distance of those locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform all functions of Payments & Payment Resolution staffincluding payment review, discrepancy research, resolution processing, documentation, and stakeholder communication Serve as the Lead Contractor representative for payment resolution operations Execute Contractor administrative functions, including: Team timekeeping oversight Leave review and approval Basic workload coordination Independently complete assignments involving numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence, using strong subject matter expertise and judgment Apply basic accounting principles to analyze payment issues, verify accuracy, and support resolution decisions Support team leadership activities in a supervisory or Team Lead capacity, including monitoring task completion and quality Train and onboard new contract hires, including preparing training materials, running training sessions, and validating readiness Escalate complex issues, trends, or systemic payment problems to the Program Manager and Government stakeholders as appropriate Contribute to continuous improvement of payment resolution procedures, templates, and job aids Perform additional duties as needed Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Minimum Qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification, such as the GED Possess at least 3years of experience in payment resolution, accounting support, financial operations, or a closely related field Possess the ability to perform basic accounting functions (e.g. reconciliation support, transaction validation, error identification) Possess prior supervisory, team lead, or training role Possess the ability to pass and maintain eligibility to pass a Tier II Public Trust investigation Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting federal or state payment programs Familiarity with payment processing systems, case management platforms, or financial workflow tools Experience creating training/job aids for operational teams NOTE: This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.
