Also, this position will manage the equipment and tooling budgets based on the Project Planning Sheet. · Responsible for overall improvement of productivity, efficiency and quality through the optimal utilization and preventative maintenance of all production equipment of the plant. · Complete general benchmarking and monitor daily production process on all plant equipment and jigs. · Directs troubleshooting activity of all engineering staff in the programming, equipment, and production related issues as necessary. · Designs and develops production equipment and jigs. · Project Manager of equipment installation and testing, and tooling development. · Establishes and manages training program for PE staff. · Develop a quality assurance program using the APQP method and the past model reflection and FMEA/MQC. · Establishes and regulates process conditions, including wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, assist gas, and type of weld rod. · Analyzes blueprints, instructions, or sample parts to confirm dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, workflow of operations, and machine/tooling setup requirements are in an acceptable condition. · Develop the mid-term engineering projects and Hoshin (Annual business plan) · Ensure Company and Departmental KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management and reporting. · Communicate with vendors according to the needs of the department as well as completion of projects. · Manage and lead both the Production Engineering and Project Planning Group, including training, development, performance reviews, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity. · Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review assess ongoing performance of direct reports. · Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each team member is aware. · Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure safety and the wellbeing of staff, visitors, and vendors · Must have proficient oral and written communication skills. · Must be willing to cross-train and make continuous improvements. · Must be willing to take the initiative on new projects. · Must be able to work company's required overtime. · Must comply with FIA's Attendance Policy Attention to Detail, Office Equipment Usage, Computer Usage, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Multi-Tasking, Problem Solving, Team Participation, Motivation to Learn New Skill · Five years of minimum experience required.
