As a Plant Supervisor, you will oversee and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team and oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. As a Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the plant floor, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and a safe working environment. You will work closely with a team of operators and technicians to achieve production goals and maintain operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. This position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Must be able to open the shop daily by 6:45 am and stay until the plant is closed. This role reports to the Plant Manager. Role & Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the plant floor team, ensuring clear communication, goal alignment, and a positive work environment. Supervise and schedule plant personnel, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production requirements. Train, mentor, and motivate employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and personal development. Production Coordination: Monitor production schedules and coordinate production activities to ensure on-time delivery of products. Collaborate with production planning and supply chain teams to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime. Address production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions to ensure efficient operations. Must be prepared to pivot on a regular cadence to schedule changes. Meets with Plant Manager at start of day to develop daily schedule, then at end of day to provide updates to the production schedule. Timesheet Management & Approvals: Review, verify, and approve employee timesheets in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, payroll schedules, and applicable labor regulations. Resolve discrepancies and coordinate with payroll as needed. Monthly Skills Review & Tracking: Conduct monthly skills assessments to evaluate employee competencies, maintain accurate skill matrices, and identify training or development needs to support operational and workforce planning. Performance Documentation & Support: Maintain ongoing documentation related to employee skills, performance trends, and compliance to support annual performance reviews and management decision-making. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Assigns and delegates daily cleaning departmental tasks to team. Check ink, supplies, and material inventory and communicate any concerns or issues with Assistant Print Production Manager. Communicate the status of the print room with other shift supervisor at the end of the day (such as printer issues, large orders, and anything left to print for the day). Minimum Requirements: Experience with large-format print equipment and solid knowledge of UV, latex, heat press, or dye-sublimation printing processes. Experience running and maintaining equipment in a production environment. Working knowledge with color management and color profiling. Working knowledge of RIP software, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with EFI, Durst, Reggiani, or HP grand format printers are a plus. Supervisory experience with a small team (5-10 people) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Job requires significant standing time. Attention to detail & ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
