Job Description
SCOPE OF ROLE
The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations within a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Beyond supervision, they also coach, resolve issues, train, and serve as a link between direct reports and upper management. This individual will lead the Shipping Loaders and Warehouse Teams.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Facilitates the loading and shipment of building products to meet production demands, while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity
* Collaborates with plant leadership to develop staffing guidelines, optimizing resource utilization while controlling costs.
* Hires, supervises, evaluates, and replaces staff as required to meet performance goals.
* Develops and trains employees for increasing responsibilities, conducts periodic evaluations, and holds safety and production meetings daily. Drives initiatives of 5S, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
* Conducts Interviews and identifies qualified candidates for hire.
* Assigns personnel, oversees rotations, and maintains effective communication during shift changes and troubleshooting.
* Ensures accurate completion of paperwork related to line operation, including logs, audits, and corrective actions.
* Readily addresses any urgent production or shipping requirements, even if it disrupts the regular workflow Knowledge and understanding of all safety polices and regulations and ability to address all unsafe acts and conditions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
2 - Year Associate degree or a bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required
Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a shipping, warehouse, and / or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, mentor and train employees on a regular basis
