The Production Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, and production of all coated steel products processed in their assigned department(s) at the Steelscape facility. The incumbent ensures that production goals are met, customer demands are satisfied, and all manufacturing associates work safely within a self-directed team environment.
The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the business plans by achieving or exceeding KPIs, providing leadership and employee development, and ensuring continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence strategies are implemented. The Production Manager will be responsible for maintaining the profitability and competitiveness of the organization, developing self-directed working teams, providing feedback, and managing performance to ensure overall team development. This Manager will act as a coach to remove obstacles to increase performance and strengthen collaborative relationships within the team.
· Using Felt Leadership (HOP), implement and ensure high performance of safety metrics. Walk the floor, train, and maintain standards according to BSL HSE management standards.
· Provide leadership and direction to site employees, ensure skills and competencies of team members are developed, set job goals, and align with business expectations. Coach, provide feedback to employees, create training opportunities, and identify workforce planning needs of the department.
· Manage and facilitate continuous improvement activities and create manufacturing excellence. Facilitate quality, service improvements, and cost reduction through efficient manufacturing practices, collaboration, and the use of continuous improvement methodology.
· Lead efforts to troubleshoot quality and productivity problems within the business.
· Develop and administer budget while improving conversion cost and reducing variances.

Qualifications
Minimum:
· Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or related field or 10+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
