The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisor is responsible for all of the day to day oversight of Behavioral Health Technician personnel. Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision of the mill maintenance E&I hourly personnel. Responsible for providing services required for timely maintenance and economical repair of all plant equipment. Incumbent performs all of the above in a professional manner to continually plan and promote safe, effective utilization of workforce, materials and machinery. Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety as well as the safety of employees, and company assets Schedule and supervise daily work, coordinating with production day supervisors and planners to prioritize work. Actively support safety and housekeeping standards set by maintenance management. Encourage employees to work toward key measures set by department including safety, cost, and quality. Control overtime as a supporting key measure. Communicate goals, key measures and expectations to crews. Determine the training needs of the workforce. Understand and enforce company policy and existing contracts. Prepares and assists in performance reviews for hourly employees. Provides technical support troubleshooting all types of control systems. Monitor and address machine reliability issues. Participate in root cause analysis process related to downtime events. Participate in scheduled weekend duty team. Supervise contract work as needed. Supervision and Leadership Exercised Develop work assignments. Review work performed. Approve vacation/leaves. Conduct performance reviews and recommend disciplinary action when necessary. Reporting and Accountability Relationships This position reports to the Maintenance E&I Superintendent. Decision Making Authority Makes decisions concerning daily work of crews under the guidelines set forth by the department. Proactive in determining need for discipline, especially where safety is concerned. Business Contacts Coordinate with Maintenance E&I Superintendent to ensure that mill objectives are being supported. Basic Qualifications: Education and Experience Technical degree and minimum of 5 years' experience in the Electrical and Instrument field. Equivalent years of related E&I maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of technical degree. Knowledge/Competencies Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, leadership qualities, and strong work ethics.
