The Opportunity Under the general supervision of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager coordinates manufacturing operations through a team of functional Managers that oversee and implement all production and distribution operations and shop activities in JELD-WEN's Door Systems facility in Kissimmee Florida. What You Will Do * Ensures process quality, root cause analysis and implementation of actions for quality issues, and coordinates operational issues with other departments and managers, including Continuous Improvement (CI) Managers and teams. * Establishes and improves procedures and work instructions for production processes, and coordinates with product line managers, quality managers, and CI Managers and teams utilizing SQDCI, OTD, and TPS methodologies. * This position will confer with upper management personnel to retrieve and establish updated production and quality control standards in their assigned areas of operations to effectively manage scheduling and timing of production. * Ensures accurate optimization of techniques/methods to maximize usage of inventory and plant supplies for production operations to include plans for current and future production requirements, from raw materials to finished product. * Ensures overall coordination of work assignments to product line schedules to meet customer needs, including ensuring smoothly coordinated shift changes and personnel assignments are properly documented and considered to meet schedules.
