The Production Coordinator is responsible for leading a production team to meet the daily production schedule by training and adhering to established Standard Work Instructions (SWI). Working closely with the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for training employees in documented standard work methods and quality expectations so their team can complete their work assignment safely at the expected work pace. The Production Coordinator is also responsible for leading the continuous improvement efforts within their production area of oversight. They are responsible for communicating modifications to the established Standard Work Instructions, through process improvements or tooling, with the sole purpose of reducing labor content. This is not a daily working supervisor position, except while training employees in their new job routines or filling in for employees who are absent.
