About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of your crew during shifts while driving continuous improvement in production processes, quality, and safety. Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of all crew members during shifts and consistently enforce company policies and procedures.
Direct and oversee the efforts of Production and QA employees, providing both positive and constructive performance feedback.

Verify readiness of raw materials, labeling, equipment, tools, production orders, warehouse availability, and labor for current and upcoming runs.
Monitor environmental procedures and reporting, ensuring compliance within designated response times.
Manage issues related to the Facility Emergency Contingency Plan and ensure proper response.
Collaborate with crew and other departments to improve processes, products, and safety while reducing costs through innovation and data analysis.
Troubleshoot high-level issues with Key Operators, Maintenance personnel, or Management as needed.
Communicate daily with the crew regarding safety, performance metrics (KPIs), corrective actions, and future plans through High Performance Team (HPT) boards and meetings.
Review production schedules, assign tasks appropriately, and address schedule adjustments while ensuring proper staffing and equipment performance.
Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork and records for the shift, ensuring smooth communication with off-going and on-coming shifts.
Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of production experience in an industrial manufacturing facility
Minimum three (3) years of supervisory/leadership experience in a similar environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Experience in production supervision, quality assurance, or a related field.
Knowledge of safety protocols, production processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive continuous improvement.

The Production Supervisor will drive production/manufacturing results through ownership and accountability; ensure budgeted performance is reached on all lines; meet line performance objectives including changeover objectives; maintain washouts to required timelines; limit downtime. Essential Functions
* Must constantly focus on improving line performance, limiting downtime, improving changeover time on all lines. Ensure mechanical knowledge is communicated to all techs and operators as needed.
* Develop and deliver effective briefs, reports, meetings. Attend all inter-department meetings each day to coordinate plans, complete any required safety items, cross train employees, ensure GMP and SQF compliance, verify QC checks on running product, verify all line checks are being performed, and complete visual observation of running product.
* Understand and know the short-term as well as long-range goals and targets for production and how they tie to the daily/weekly/monthly production plan.
* Continual monitoring and updating of SOP's as needed.
* Plan and execute effective line startups, ensure cleaning on all equipment is maintained, plan new product runs effectively.
* Implement the Production Department training matrix to maintain an accurate record of employees in need of training. Document expert knowledge and develop training program around that information. Track effectiveness of training thru weekly evaluation form. Certify each employee has completed training and are fully qualified and periodically validate.
* Lead meetings with employees at the end/beginning of a shift (debrief) communicating needed information for the business flow.
* Lead on projects to include but not limited to capital improvements on production lines and support systems, new product runs, packaging or container changes to existing products, consumer complaint issue investigations, line issue investigations including six sigma tool uses.
* Will also attend safety meetings and lead process improvement teams to generate ideas to improve efficiencies on the lines or any topic so designated.
* Develop plant operations knowledge of the main support systems needed to run an effective plant. Knowledge of the major pieces of support equipment that are essential to running the plant and impact of problems with these systems.
* Must communicate clearly with team what is expected and monitor performance and address inefficiencies thru coaching and positive motivation and/or formal disciplinary action, if required.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
* Undergraduate Degree in an Engineering related field (or equivalent experience) plus four (4) years experience in a production and/or engineering environment required.
* Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment required.

Position-Specific Skills:
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end production flow at the McGregor factory, from order planning and engineering detailing to final loading and transport, ensuring seamless fabrication of structural steel, PEMB, cladding, and related components.
Develop and manage production schedules, including detailed planning for prefabrication, assembly, welding, shot blasting, painting, and quality inspections to meet project deadlines and client specifications.
Lead materials planning and reception processes, verifying stock levels, coordinating purchases, and ensuring compliance with material specifications through dimension, surface, and certificate controls.

Orders and inspects raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs. Performs first pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non-conforming product. Returns raw materials after completion of production runs.
Verifies discrete jobs are correct in Oracle (including quality and bill of material list), Warehouse Management System, and/or Line Management System.
Supports Production Supervisor with hourly and/or end of shift production reports.
Utilizes the Efficiency Improvement Tools to understand and comment on line downtime and communicates appropriately per the escalation plan.
Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Abides by Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.

Position Description
The Production Manager is responsible for driving and managing the production process and associates at the facility while maintaining efficient production in desired quality and quantity. Develops and leads the Plant Production team in exceeding key performance indicators for safety, environment, quality, customer service and cost.
