Supervisor, Operations
This position oversees the operations performed within a Branch. Provides leadership, guidance and coordination of services to ensure the distribution of all medical equipment, supplies and services delivered to a patient's home accurately and on time. Collaborates with leadership, health systems, hospice partners and key community referral sources to improve patient services.
Job Duties:
Ensure that the services provided via the branch location are done so in accordance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those put forth by: CMS, Department of Health, DOT, FDA, OSHA, and the company's accreditation organization.
Manage logistics team providing daily direction and communication to employees so that orders are routed in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner or exceed productivity and cost per delivery goals.
Responsible for managing inventory and working collaboratively with the department leaders to ensure that all customers receive their goods and services with a timely, efficient, and clinically safe manner.
Control inventory at the branch level. Place purchase orders in accordance with company restocking protocol.
Addresses service concerns, identifies trends and reacts accordingly.
Work with regional and department leadership to resolve concerns and to improve the patient experience.
Responsible for root cause analysis and problem resolution for all operations reviewing trends of customer service failures, determines root cause analysis, and implements appropriate communication / measures for improvements.
Maintain rapport with ordering physicians and referral sources. Inform the physicians and pertinent others of the changes in the patient's condition through visit reports and telephone communication.
Conduct consistent communication with regional and departmental leadership throughout organization to review delivery resources to maintain the organizational goals and metrics for patient care, safety, personnel, and maintenance.
Assist in resolving patient equipment problems under emergency conditions.
Assist with preventative maintenance, required service checks, and patient/environmental assessment on home respiratory equipment during scheduled visits to patients.
Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.
Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback.
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Establishes annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization's strategic goals.

SUMMARY Supervises and coordinates activities of union employees by performing the following duties. COMPENSATION This position pays within a range of $60,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience, as a FLSA Exempt employee, paid weekly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Communicates company policies to workers and enforces GMP's and safety regulations. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Maintains time and attendance records for employees utilizing E-time or other Company database system. Maintains production, efficiency, and downtime records, utilizing M3, Excel, and other computerized tools. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Reviews manufacturing orders for material and labor accuracy - provides feedback to correct inaccuracies. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Provides input and helps establish work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends ways to improve production methods, working conditions, equipment layout, equipment performance, and crew training to improve quality of product and efficiency of production runs. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities within and between departments. Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. The employee must also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with others, follow work rules and schedules, and focus on details. The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role is responsible for leading a team of production operators and set- up technicians, coordinating schedules, optimizing workflow, and driving continuous improvement within the production area.
Production Supervisor Essential Functions
Supervise, coach, and develop production team members to meet performance goals and company standards.
Plan and assign work to ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Monitor production processes, adjusting workflows as needed to meet production targets and deadlines.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Ensure all products meet quality specifications and resolve production issues promptly.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, scrap rates, and downtime.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality departments to minimize production interruptions.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives together with management.
Conduct shift meetings, prepare production reports, and communicate updates to management.
Support employee training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Strong Leadership and Team Building abilities
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, (Metal processes is a plus)
Experience with production planning and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Omega etc.).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations
Able to work from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday-Friday

Associate or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
