Position Summary
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for filling customer orders in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity. Efficiently fills customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Ability to understand all aspects of inbound unloading operations within a distribution center, working in teams to accomplish all job duties.

Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support the outbound operation Unload trailers by hand Moving furniture with dollies Ability to work in a warehouse environment, withstanding climate changes Proper lifting techniques, lift, push, stooping twisting, bending Assembly of furniture Use of RF Scanners/ scanning system Ensure outbound picked furniture matches invoice before loading into contractor's vehicle for delivery Ensures that outbound furniture does not have any damages or flaws Efficiently prepares customers' orders Monitors and ensures that outbound furniture is properly assemble Conducts operations in compliance with OSHA standards Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety Ensures that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled Inspects and performs minor maintenance on the equipment Maintains a clean free from debris warehouse floor Meet company standards for productivity Ability to work weekends and most holidays Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years experience of forklift operation in a fast paced, warehouse environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of design software programs is a plus.

The typical pay range for this role is:

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to read, write, and count accurately Ability to work with minimal supervision Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Ability to communicate clearly Ability to frequently lift 30 to 50 pounds, and occasionally 50 to 75 pounds. Ability to work overtime

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

* Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
* Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets
* Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
* Verify computations against physical count of stock.
* Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
* Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors.
* May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

* Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
