Job Summary:
As a Track Laborer, you'll help maintain the safety and reliability of our railroad infrastructure. You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions, using hand tools and heavy equipment to maintain, repair, and replace track components. This physically active role offers hands-on training and real opportunities for growth in a dynamic, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
Comply with all federal, state, and other applicable railroad safety and operational regulations
Follow instructions when working with a certified trainer, mentor, or supervisor
Repair and rebuild railroad track using hydraulic or hand tools
Remove and replace ties and rails; pull and drive spikes; shovel rock ballast; load and unload equipment and material
Inspect tools and equipment for defects to determine if they are in a safe condition prior to use
Use various types of tools and equipment, including torches, hammers, jacks, rail saws and other mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot problems on equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Full-time (40 plus hours weekly)
Varying schedule in a 24/7 work environment that includes nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call as needed
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Walking on uneven surfaces and climbing ladders and equipment always ensuring three points of contact
Able to squat, bend and lift overhead with extended periods of kneeling or crouching (bending at the knees)
Frequent lifting of equipment and tools up to 76 pounds
Skills and Experience:
Able to complete written forms and reports as required
Working knowledge of equipment such as torches, hammers, jacks, and other mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools is a plus
Skilled in routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
Able to read and interpret documents including safety rules, manuals, and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with heavy hand tools and outdoor work
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus or willingness to obtain if required
Possess situational awareness and decision-making abilities to respond effectively in a safety sensitive environment
Required Education and Credentials:
High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
Valid driver's license
At least eighteen years of age

About the role - CDL Class B Driver (Bloomsburg, PA)
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a CDL Class B Driver within our Orica USA Commercial team.
This role will be responsible for driving and operating Orica's bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and installing blasting products for our customers at local construction sites, mines, and quarries as well as being accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment.
This is a hybrid role that consists of approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work related to the installation of blasting products. Responsibilities include loading products, driving a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, operating manufacturing units control systems, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions.
Additionally, this role will operate equipment to provide blasting products while assisting in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers. We prioritize safety and strive to ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times.

What you will be doing

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
Focus on maintaining equipment in working order through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures in a fast-paced environment.
Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety conscious.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, including motors, motor control centers (MCCs), transformers, switches, and wiring.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in complex machinery such as corrugators, printing presses, die cutters, and material handling systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Install, maintain, and calibrate various sensors, transducers, and measuring instruments.
Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards.
Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other plant safety policies.
Maintain and repair high-voltage equipment and control systems.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed, parts used, and system documentation.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new production equipment and control systems.
Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic technicians to resolve complex operational issues.
Participate in root cause analysis of failures to implement corrective actions and improve machine reliability.
Provide support for mechanical maintenance tasks as needed to ensure production uptime including predictive and preventative maintenance.
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment (corrugated, paper, or heavy industry experience is a significant plus).
Proven experience working with 480V three-phase systems and various control voltages.
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters).
Expert knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and programming PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Massachusetts Electrical license or the equivalent certification
Willingness to work on both mechanical and electrical projects.
Excellent safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergency repairs under pressure.
Excellent communication skills

About the Role:
As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You'll operate specialized equipment-such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders-to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs

3. Welds (30% of time), fabricates, and uses cutting torch.

* Capable of working in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and can safely perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions or in a shop, terminal, or field environment. * Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, etc.), Construction Management, Business, OR a similar degree program from an accredited university to be completed prior to hire OR I have obtained a degree in a program described above.
* Have and/or will graduate with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
* Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience/military service, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
* Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

* Prior internship experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Engineering, Business, Construction, or a related field

POSITION SUMMARY:
We're hiring full-time Paramedics in Santa Barbara County who are passionate about delivering high-quality emergency care and advanced life support in a professional, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action using advanced Paramedic protocols.
Utilize your Paramedic skills and medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitors, oxygen/suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
Communicate clearly with patients and loved ones, ensuring informed, compassionate care.
Act as Paramedic team leader on-scene and manage unit operations as needed.
Respond to 911 calls and operate an ambulance safely and efficiently.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Medics.
