Doug Cropper is a Board Member at GENESIS HEALTH SYSTEM and Chief Executive Officer at GENESIS HEALTH SYSTEM and is based in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. Not only did Frieden's career bring him back to the Quad Cities, he also came to work for the hospital where he was born - the former Mercy Hospital, now Genesis Medical Center's West Central Park campus. Through his leadership, Genesis has been named one of the nation's "Most Wired" hospitals and health systems for 14 consecutive years, an award that recognizes Genesis for its use of technology to provide patients with the highest standards of safety and quality of care.

Frieden graduated from North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa, and with a Management of Information Systems degree from the University of Northern Iowa, began his career in health care at Trinity Medical Center as a financial applications manager. He moved on to become the MIS Director at Loris Healthcare System in South Carolina; the Vice President of Information Technology at Arkansas Children's Hospital, and then the Regional Chief Information Officer of Doctors Community Healthcare Corporation (DCHC) in Chicago.

Dr. Andersen began his medical practice in 2000 with River Valley Healthcare and has specialized in Family Medicine since that time. He joined Genesis in 2002 when River Valley Healthcare merged with Signature Physician Network and Genesis Medical Group to become Genesis Health Group. In October 2014, he moved his practice from Davenport to the new Genesis HealthPlex in Bettendorf. While serving as GHG President, Dr. Andersen will continue to practice medicine as a part-time faculty member of the Genesis Quad Cities Family Medicine Residency Program. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

He currently serves as Chairman of the GHS Operations Committee and is Chairman of the Family Practice Department at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Dr. Andersen also served as a member of the GHG/Genesis Health System Joint Operating Board.

Dr. Andersen holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, from the University of Iowa and is a 1997 graduate of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He is a 2000 graduate of the Genesis Quad Cities Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Andersen has published several research articles in publications such as the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Infection and Immunity and The Journal of Biological Chemistry.

Dr. Andersen lives in the Quad Cities area with his wife and three daughters.
