Job Responsibilities:
Provide oncology services primarily at the Davenport location, with the potential to cover clinics in Clinton and Silvis.
Deliver team-based, patient, and family-centered care.
Contribute to a collaborative clinical environment focusing on supporting patients and their families.
Engage with a team of professionals including physicians and nurse practitioners to offer comprehensive care.
Participate in hospitalist team meetings for inpatient support.
Qualifications:
Master's and/or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner.
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Willingness to cover multiple clinic locations.
Clean malpractice history preferred.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
Active IA and IL nursinglicenses (or willingness to obtain).
Current Board Certification.
DEA registration and CSR/CDS compliance (ability to obtain prior to start).
Most recent NPDB Report (within the last 30-60 days).

A Brief Overview
Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians as well as other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care.
What you will do
* Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
* Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
* Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
* Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients.
* Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination. Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment. Documents obtained information in patient chart. Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests.
* Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
* Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
* Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
* Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
* Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.

* Makes rounds as necessary, assessing unstable residents.
* Prepares and administers medications, nutrition, fluids and medication, and treatments as ordered.

The Charge Nurse will ensure completion of care plans and required documentation, uphold regulatory compliance, nurture resident-directed culture, strengthen the ability of the household to grow as a separate effective home and promote individual and team learning in the household. Charge Nurses are teachers and role-models of professional practices to all household staff. This role will also work cooperatively with social services, activities, dietary services and housekeeping to ensure facilitation of the household model of care. This role will require problem solving, conflict resolution and ensuring that the needs and desires of the residents are met.
