Coordinates making post discharge follow-up calls. * Performs patient assessments, hourly rounding and initial nursing assessment of all new admissions, admission note as well as on-going assessments and patient notes. * Coordinates making physicians rounds and physician notifications with the Resource Nurse. Carries out new orders and/or communicates new orders to team members to be completed. Makes necessary observation and suggestions to attending physicians. Accountable for acknowledging all new orders and following through with them. * Provides bedside report for oncoming staff. Provides bedside care and functions to the patients. Is responsible for appropriate discharge and patient teaching for their shift and completes discharge routine documentation. * Knows the hospital area resource services and insurance certification procedure for patients. * Administers medication and treatments per physician orders and reviews H & P, meds, treatments, etc. * Utilizes principles of good leadership and management in organizing nursing care on the unit. Serves as liaison between patient, physician, and staff. * Attends and conducts in-services meeting, if needed. Records and documents all clinical and patient data including, but not limited to, narcotic counts, census data, QI information, physician orders, patients charges, and etc. * Serves as an instructor for prenatal educational activities and collaborates with clinical leaders to assess, plan, implement and evaluate goals, objectives and content of educational programs (if applicable). * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary * The Cardiac Rehab RN is responsible for the nursing care of the patient in cardiac rehab which includes teaching, exercise prescription, and communication with the physicians and the Cardiac Rehab Nurse Manager. General Hours of Work * Monday through Friday (8-10 hours per pay period) Education and/or Experience * Previous experience taking blood pressures and working with patients in rehab setting is helpful. Formulates and individualizes nursing care plans on all patients. Updates, validates, care plans daily and prn. Following all policy and procedures including but not limited to administering medications per pharmacy and manufacturers instruction. Staying abreast of all policies and procedures. Notes and follows through with physician's orders accurately and in a timely manner. Complete task in a timely manner. Able to prioritize patient care and work under stress while exhibiting maturity, stability, and flexibility. Utilizes and provides equipment and supplies based on patient needs. Keeps department stocked, organized, clean, and checklist completed. Charges appropriately for supplies and treatments. Works scheduled hours and demonstrates flexibility in willingness to work extra hours. Our Client is currently seeking Labor and Delivery for positions in Davenport, Iowa for a 3x12 Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Iowa license.
