Job Responsibilities: Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including ICU management with shared call. Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. Perform a variety of procedures including central line and arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, and more. Manage a diverse patient population with conditions such as COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary fibrosis. Document using the Cerner EMR system. Participate in a call schedule of 1:4, covering every 4th night and weekend. Engage in teaching services for trainees and junior staff. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, with plans to test if currently not certified. Completed fellowship in Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine (new graduates welcomed). Experience with ETT/NT/Tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP, and various critical procedures. Clean malpractice history preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Iowa State medical license (or willingness to obtain). ACLS certification required.
