Working at Genesis HealthCare System

Genesis places a strong emphasis on fostering career growth and promoting staff from within the organization. When a position becomes available, it is first advertised internally, providing current employees with the opportunity to advance within the company. I have personally experienced significant success in my own internal career progression.

One area where I have encountered challenges with Genesis is their health insurance offerings. While I understand the preference for utilizing Genesis providers, I have experienced difficulties in obtaining prior authorization for specialized treatments, tests, and medications, even when ordered by a Genesis Healthcare professional.

The most gratifying benefit of my role at Genesis is the opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals within our community.

The CEO at Genesis is very transparent with the organization. Providing weekly updates and information. He is very professional but never talks down to you. The leadership of the departments I have worked in, have been excellent.

While there is always room for improvement, I personally believe the company's culture is great. They have a very diverse staff. They respect everyone regardless of race, religion, or gender.

To prepare for an interview: • Dress appropriately • Have a solid professional resume • Prepare questions to ask at the end of the interview • Don't ask about the pay during the first interview • Follow up after, via phone or email • Thanking them for the opportunity • Follow up after 1 day and then again in 1 week

In my experience, the compensation is competitive but not above average.

I feel Genesis does a good job with diversity and inclusion.

The most fulfilling aspect of my work is the impact I have on the lives of those in my community.
