* I Chair the Clinical Quality & Value Analysis (CQVA) Team at the hospital for value analysis of all new technologies and evaluation of all existing inventory under supply chain at Genesis Hospital.

Cost avoidance in new supplies at Lourdes in 2017 was $880k. Reconfiguration through Medical Economics Committee (MEC) had helped us a net savings of $5.1 million in supply chain. over the course of one Year.

Michael Norman CPA (Inactive), has been with Genesis HealthCare System since 2010 and part of the senior leadership team since 2018, when he was named the chief financial officer. In this role, he is responsible for Accounting, Decision Support, Purchasing & Materials Distribution and Revenue Cycle, which includes the Patient Access Center, Registration, Medical Billing and Patient Resource Center. Pros of working at Genesis HealthCare System

Genesis places a strong emphasis on fostering career growth and promoting staff from within the organization. When a position becomes available, it is first advertised internally, providing current employees with the opportunity to advance within the company. I have personally experienced significant success in my own internal career progression.

Cons of working at Genesis HealthCare System

One area where I have encountered challenges with Genesis is their health insurance offerings. While I understand the preference for utilizing Genesis providers, I have experienced difficulties in obtaining prior authorization for specialized treatments, tests, and medications, even when ordered by a Genesis Healthcare professional.

The most gratifying benefit of my role at Genesis is the opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals within our community.

What do you like best about Genesis HealthCare System's CEO and the leadership team?

The CEO at Genesis is very transparent with the organization. Providing weekly updates and information. He is very professional but never talks down to you. The leadership of the departments I have worked in, have been excellent.

How would you improve Genesis HealthCare System's culture?

While there is always room for improvement, I personally believe the company's culture is great. They have a very diverse staff. They respect everyone regardless of race, religion, or gender.
