Genesys CEO and leadership

Anthony J. Bates (born 29 April 1967) is a British born business leader and on 6 May 2019 he was appointed to CEO of Genesys. Bates is the former CEO of Growth at Social Capital. Previously, he held a number of technology based business roles including the former president of GoPro, and the former executive vice president of Microsoft responsible for business development, strategy and evangelism and former CEO of Skype.

Brian is the Chief Financial Officer for Genesys. He is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Global Real Estate and IT.

Brian is an accomplished senior financial executive with more than 20 years of finance, operations and business development experience in both the United States and internationally. He has worked in a number of industries, from consumer products and manufacturing to service businesses. He has expertise in managing company investments during times of rapid and evolving growth and leading companies through transformations with a focus on operational excellence.

Most recently, Brian was CFO at Cornerstone OnDemand (Nasdaq: CSOD), where he played a leadership role in growing the business, from $350 million to more than $800 million, while significantly improving profitability, from -2% margins to 25%. His previous CFO roles include ecommerce boutique leader Zulily and higher education provider Apollo Education Group. Earlier in his career, Brian held various roles in finance and public accounting.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Arizona.

Peter Graf is a Board Member at Lunera Lighting and Chief Strategy Officer at Genesys. He has worked as Chief Product Officer at Sungevity, Exec VP/Chief Sustainbility Ofcr at SAP, and Chief Product Officer at Genesys.

Jim René is the chief legal officer at Genesys. He is responsible for all legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters. He also oversees the Genesys intellectual property portfolio and serves as corporate secretary. As Chief People Officer he is leads all global programs designed to support and enhance the people experience at Genesys, including employee engagement, compensation, benefits, learning and development, employee relations, community, talent acquisition and employment branding.
