Genie Academy offers paid training and a work environment with stable after-school hours. Our staff is helpful and supportive while our clientele is both established and trusted. We offer a structured curriculum alongside a comfortable classroom setting that fosters learning and creativity. Our students are motivated and bright, but are also in need of your help! Compensation Genie Academy's starting hourly wage ranges from $16 to $22 an hour depending on your experience. Our Coaches (Tutors) are divided into three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. New hires are in the Silver tier. As you develop your skills and reputation you will move into the higher tiers. Our Gold & Platinum tier teachers may earn anywhere from $1000 to $15000 annual bonuses for their classes with our accrued bonus program. About the Role We're looking for experienced SAT Tutors for Math and/or Reading & Writing who are passionate about helping students reach their college goals. You'll teach small groups of 3-6 students using Genie Academy's curriculum and lesson plans -- so no lesson planning is required. You'll just focus on learning our methods and delivering engaging, effective instruction. This is a part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule. Tutors must be available for the full SAT class cycle to ensure continuity for students. Responsibilities Teach SAT Math and/or Reading & Writing using Genie Academy's curriculum. Manage small group classes of 3-6 students. Ensure students understand both concepts and test-taking strategies. Track progress and communicate results to students and parents. Maintain consistency and punctuality throughout each program cycle. Attend periodic training to stay aligned with Genie Academy standards. Requirements Prior experience teaching or tutoring SAT Math and/or Reading & Writing. Strong understanding of current SAT question types and scoring. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Reliable, professional, and committed to schedule consistency. Bachelor's degree (or current enrollment in college). Preferred Experience teaching both Math and Reading/Writing sections. Familiarity with structured enrichment programs or test prep centers.
