Gensco has an immediate opening for a Non-CDL Delivery Driver at our branch in Tacoma, WA!
Schedule - Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:30pm Full Time - Starting Pay Range $22 - $27 per hour based on experience
Day to Day Delivery Driver Team Member Activities
Work off computer-generated sheets that identify the product, product locations and product quantity to be moved, stored, picked, etc. along with the action priority
Using proper equipment and lifting techniques, quickly and accurately pull product for customer orders and/or branch transfers from warehouse shelves
Package product for shipment according to Gensco standards
Inspect truck to verify safe operation, work in a safe manner and follow appropriate procedures
Load delivery trucks and trailers according to Gensco standards, and secure freight
Operate a delivery truck to deliver and unload product at customer facilities, jobsites or Gensco facilities, making multiple deliveries in one day
May assist customer with product put away
Check truck and paperwork to verify appropriate delivery of product and quantity
Always collect money/payment from customers for COD deliveries
Accurately, legibly, and properly complete paperwork and turn it in for processing
Load customer returns and unload, accurately return product and process RMAs within 24 hours from date of return and assist with put away
Inform manager of stock outages, need for warehouse supplies, and delivery or backorder problems
Delivery Driver Team Member Requirements
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Previous driving experience required
Regular, consistent attendance for scheduled shifts
Must have a valid license and clean driving record
21 years or older
Must currently have a DOT required medical card or willingness to obtain one
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to work at heights up to 30'
Previous driver/warehouse experience is beneficial, but not required
Must be able to provide driving abstract
A minimum qualification for our driver positions is that a candidate must have a clear driving abstract. According to Gensco policy, that means you must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Your driving record must show that for the last 3 years, you have not received:
One citation for driving under the influence, such as a DUI or similar citation
One citation for reckless and/or negligent driving
One speeding citation in excess of 20 mph over the speed limit in a Company vehicle
And/or two or more citations for speeding

Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner
Collect payment for product as required. Balance invoices with checks, cash, etc. at end of day
Look for innovation and continuous improvement in the delivery department and in the company overall

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Janicki Industries is looking to add to their transportation team. In this role, you will have a consistent daily schedule with most driving being local and being able to be home at the end of your shift. Every day is different in that you could drive a truck, operate a forklift or drive a pilot car.
The following essential job functions are performed as a CDL Driver/Forklift Operator:
Safely transporting large patterns/tools between facilities as required
Performance of daily safety inspections on each piece of equipment driven and reporting any issues or concerns to supervisor
Carrying hazardous materials between facilities
Transporting various types of machinery and equipment between facilities
Hauling both over size and super load parts between facilities as well as to customers
Operating a forklift to move, locate, and relocate large scale patterns/tools. Sometimes requiring multiple forklifts on the same move
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into or on trailers
Pilots oversized loads - some of which happen on off-shifts / as required by DOT

The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required
One or more years operating a forklift preferred
Class A CDL driver's license required, Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred, but willing to hire without provided the candidate starts them within 90 days of hire
Candidate must be safety oriented, mechanically inclined, & computer literate
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Basic personal computer skills with the ability to learn and use new software systems
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Wage range for this role is between $23 - $37 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

Our Class A CDL Driver is responsible for loading, unloading and installing our party rental equipment at various venues such as hotels, wineries and wedding venues.

Drive 48-53 foot flatbed/box trailer, 26-foot box truck with lift gate, or sprinter van from our warehouse to event venues.
Unload and install equipment at venues according to floorplans or instructions.
Interact face to face with our clients and provide a positive customer experience.
Repair, clean, or replace damaged equipment onsite as needed.
Participate in pre-delivery meetings to ensure a successful event delivery.
Assist with loading/unloading equipment in the warehouse pre or post event as needed
Qualifications
A valid Class A driver's license and safe driving record.
At least one year of professional experience driving a 48-53 foot flatbed/box trailer.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Physically able and willing to move furniture or equipment indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:.
OTR lanes run to MN, WI, and beyond, then returning from OH, MO, to be delivered in the Pacific Northwest.
These lanes require driver to be gone 10-11 days and one weekend including 34 hour reset. Home every other weekend in most cases. Longer road time is available to those drivers that would like to be gone longer

The Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering bulk and non-bulk propane, propane utilization equipment, and/or miscellaneous materials to customers in an assigned territory.
